2:52am Mission/Pope Weapons
Officers Benavidez and Jones were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with a failed head light. They conducted a traffic stop and noticed the driver was illegally possessing a baton. The driver provided an Oregon driver’s license and a record check revealed he did not have a California Driver’s License. He told the officers he had been living in California for the past two years. The driver was cited for driving with no driver’s license and a friend with a valid license responded and picked up his vehicle for him. At the instruction of Sgt. Daniels, he was booked into custody for the weapons violation. Report Number 120168144
12:30pm 100 Blk Blythdale Trespassing
Officers Hopkins and Uang were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing Projects when they were dispatched to the call of a trespasser. The reportee advised that the suspect had entered the premises from a top floor window. The officers located an individual who matched the suspect description and detained him not far from the address. They located the reportee who responded to the area and positively identified the suspect as the individual who had illegally entered the apartment. The reportee signed a citizen’s arrest and the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation. A record check also revealed an outstanding warrant. He was booked for the trespass and the warrant. Report Number 120166132
12:30pm Velasco/Santos Firearm
Officer Fung and several other Ingleside officers responded to a possible burglary in progress. Dispatch provided a description of the suspect and the officers detained an individual matching the description in the area. The individual immediately became agitated and the officers placed him in handcuffs for his protection and theirs. The individual began struggling with the officers and he was placed under arrest for resisting/delaying an investigation. An arrest search located a firearm in a box the suspect was carrying. He was booked into custody for resisting and illegal possession of a firearm. He was provided with a property receipt for his items. Report Number 120166182
4:50pm Mission/Geneva Traffic Violation
Officers Ng and Tillan were on patrol when they observed a male in the intersection disrupting traffic. They detained the individual who was unable to provide any proof of identification. He was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation. He was identified through the SFPD’s mugshot photo system and cited for the traffic violation. Report Number 120167237
10:57pm 800 Blk Moscow Narcotics
Officers McCall and Lozano were on patrol conducting a passing call at Crocker Amazon Playground when they observed a parked vehicle in an area where there are no parking signs in the evening hours. They made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and, in plain view, noticed a bag containing a large amount of a green leafy substance which they believed to be marijuana. The officers had both occupants exit the vehicle and placed them in handcuffs in the rear of their patrol vehicle.
The suspects were given their Miranda rights and agreed to speak with the officers. They told the officers that the marijuana was theirs and they had purchased it for medical purposes. Neither suspect was able to provide the officers with a Medical Marijuana Card. At the instruction of Sgt. Riskin, the suspects were transported to Ingleside station and booked into custody for possession of the narcotics. The suspects were issued property receipts for their items. The officers sealed the narcotics and transported it to the Narcotics Box at the Hall of Justice. Report Number 120167914

8:00am Unit Blk Montcalm Burglary
Officers Rueca and Elton were sent to investigate a burglary. The reportee stated that she was on her balcony when she observed a male inside a premise across the way exit the apartment with a television. She provided a description of the possible suspect and officers canvassed the area unsuccessfully in search of him. They responded to the address and met with two of the tenants. The upstairs tenant found no sign of forced entry and nothing appeared to be missing. The downstairs tenant said she locked and secured her front door and noticed there was now damage to the lock. She said that there were several items missing. She was provided with follow up information. The officers could locate no other sign of forced entry and determined the front door to be the point of entry and exit. They took pictures of the scene and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station. They contacted SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigation who advised they would be responding to process the scene for evidence. Report Number 120166201
9:21am Unit Blk Richland Burglary
Officers Araujo and LaRocca responded to a trespassing call. They met with the victim in front of the address and he told the officers he was upstairs in his home when he heard footsteps downstairs. He went downstairs and heard the suspect run out the rear door of his home. The victim said he had locked and secured the door and it was now open. The victim said he locked the door after he called the police and did not get a look at who may have been inside the home. He said that nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing. The officers took pictures of the scene and provided him with follow up information. Due to the lack of physical evidence, and the fact that the victim had already touched the rear door where the suspect may have entered, SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified. 12:26pm 300 Blk La Grande Fire
Officers Marino and Aslam were sent to investigate a fire. They met with the reportee who advised that someone had set fire to one of the trash bins in the building. There were no suspects and no damage to the building as SFFD responded immediately and extinguished the fire. The officers provided all parties with follow up information. Report Number 120166160
1:35pm 4700 Blk Mission Assault W/Knife
Officer Hermosura and several other Ingleside officers were dispatched to the call of a stabbing. They arrived on scene and located an individual whose clothing was covered in blood. The victim was conscious and able to speak with the officers. The officers immediately summoned an ambulance to the scene to treat the victim for his injuries. The victim was able to tell the officers that he observed a confrontation outside of a bar and believed someone was about to assault a friend of his. He pushed the individual aside and suddenly felt pain in his back as he and the suspect began fighting. The suspect then left the area and boarded a vehicle which fled westbound on Persia . Officers canvassed the area for the suspect and vehicle to no avail.
The victim said he did not know the suspect and would not be able to identify him if he saw him again. The victim was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. The officers responded to the hospital where they took pictures of the victim’s injuries and took custody of his bloody clothing. All evidence was booked at Ingleside station. They provided the victim with follow up information. Report Number 120165253
5:30pm 600 Blk Velasco Vandalism
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Zabarte that she secured her scooter near her apartment and when she returned found the power cord had been cut. She did not see anyone damage the cord but believes it might be a neighbor who she has had issues with. She was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120162936
8:15pm 5400 Blk Mission Theft
Officers Chang and Park were sent to a call where a woman had her purse stolen. They spoke with the victim who told them that she was sitting in the restaurant when a male entered the premises and began lurking around. He then sat behind her and suddenly grabbed her purse and ran out of the restaurant. The victim was not injured and said she could recognize the suspect if she saw him again. She was provided with follow up information. The officers viewed the video footage of the suspect and ordered a copy of it for further investigation. They searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect. Report Number 120167657
