Officers Sugitan and Naval responded to a report of an “Occupy SF” demonstration.  A suspect entered a bank and demanded to speak with the bank manager.  The bank manager repeatedly asked the suspect to leave.  The suspect refused to leave the bank.  Sgt. Escobar arrived on scene and asked the suspect to leave the bank.  The suspect continued to refuse.  The bank manager signed a citizen’s arrest against the suspect for trespassing.  The suspect was arrested.  Because customer safety was in jeopardy, the manager closed the bank for the remainder of the day.  Report 120017842

Officers Trujillo and Morrow responded to a report of a purse snatch involving two victims.  The first victim was standing on the sidewalk waiting for the bus.  She had her purse on her shoulder.  Two suspects approached the bus stop.  One suspect grabbed the victim’s purse strap and attempted to pull the purse from the victim.  The victim struggled to hold on to her purse.  The suspect yanked on the strap so hard, it broke, causing the victim to fall to the ground.  The victim hit the back of her head on the ground as she fell.  As the first victim was on the ground, the second suspect approached the second victim.  The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse, which she had been holding over her shoulder.  Both suspects were able to gain control of the victim’s purses and fled the scene.  Report 120017290

Officers Brugaletta and O’Rourke were dispatched to a report of fraud.  The victim had gone to the ATM to withdraw cash and discovered that she did not have any money in her bank account.  The victim contacted her bank and found out that three fraudulent charges had been made to her account totaling $5200.00!  Report 120017367

PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding fraud.  The victim discovered that there was a charge on his bank account that he did not authorize.  Report 120017723

Officer Lustenberger took a report regarding vandalism.  The victim’s vehicle had been involved in a hit and run accident.  The victim said that the suspect involved returned to the scene and keyed her vehicle.  Report 120018464

PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding false personation.  The victim received a notice in the mail that a credit card application he had applied for was denied.  However, the victim had not applied for a credit card.  The victim discovered that a suspect had applied for several other credit cards in his name.  Report 120018107

Officers Dizon and Guzman responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim left her house and secured the front door by locking it.  She also secured the outer metal gate by locking it.  Upon her return, the victim discovered the metal gate unlocked and her front door slightly ajar.  Nothing was disturbed within the residence.  Report 120018969

9:25pm                 100 Blk Raymond Ave           Shots Fired
Officers Hom and Cassinelli were dispatched to a report of gunshots being fired.  Upon arrival, several people were in the area, but no witnesses came forward.  The officers found four spent shell casings and a vehicle that had bullet holes in the side that appeared to be fresh.  No one was injured in the incident.  Report 120019086

9:45pm                 1800 Blk Sunnydale Ave        Robbery
Officers Apodaca and Gabriel were dispatched to a report of a robbery.  The victim drives a cab for a living.  The victim was dispatched to pick up a customer.  A suspect opened the back door of the cab and placed a bag in the rear passenger seat.  A second suspect approached the cab and asked him if he could open the trunk.  The victim got out of the car and walked to the rear of the cab to open the trunk.  A third suspect approached the victim from behind holding a gun in his hand.  The suspect demanded the victim give him “everything”.  The victim handed over his wallet.  The victim was holding his cell phone in his hand, and the suspect forcibly grabbed it from the victim.  All three suspects fled the scene.  Report 120019127

Officers Hart and Duffin responded to a report of arson.  A Christmas tree that had been put out on the sidewalk had been set on fire.  The fire was extinguished by the time the officers arrived on scene.  A witness observed about four suspects standing next to the tree.  Then he saw the tree on fire.  The suspects fled.  Report 120019183
