Arrests:

10:40am     Unit Blk Phelan                      Narcotics
SFCCPD Officers were on patrol when they observed three males loitering in an area where narcotics are known to be used.  The officers drove around and when they returned to the area the males were gone.  They later encountered the same males nearby.  They exited their vehicle to speak with them and smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the area.  The officers detained the individuals.  A record check returned negative for any outstanding warrants.  However, a search of two of the males located a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.  Both were cited and released at the scene at the instruction of Sgt. Wendt.  Report Number 110974412  **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY**

2:21pm       3300 Blk Mission                   Warrant
Officers Shugars and Paras were dispatched to the call of a person with a gun.  While en route to the location, they observed two males matching the description of the possible subjects.  The officers detained the individuals.  They searched both males and were unable to locate any weapons on either of them.  However, a record check revealed one of them to have an outstanding warrant.  At the instruction of Sgt. Rainsford, the individual was placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside station.  He was booked into custody upon confirmation of the warrant.  Report Number 110978630

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told CPSA Der that she received many credit cards through the mail which she did not apply for.  She contacted the credit agencies who requested that she file a police report.  She was unable to provide any further information on the suspect.  CPSA Der provided her with follow up information.  Report Number 110978157

3:15pm       Mission/Norton                       Purse Snatch
Officer Thompson was dispatched to the call of a purse snatch.  He met with the victim who was a Cantonese speaker.  Officer Thompson contacted the San Francisco Police Department’s language line and conducted the interview through a Cantonese interpreter.  The victim said that she was not injured and refused medical assistance.  She told him that she was waiting at the bus shelter holding her purse when an unknown suspect came from behind, snatched the purse from her and ran down Mission Street.  She said she could identify the suspect if she saw him again.  She was provided with follow up information.  Several officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.  Report Number 110978248
