6:30 pm                5100 Blk Mission         Battery Arrest
Officers Chang and Park dispatched to a call that a woman was being assaulted by a man on Mission St. Officers Wilson and Gomez had already arrived on the scene and had detained a possible suspect.  An ambulance was rendering aid to the victim. The victim was did not suffer any life threatening injuries but was very emotionally shaken up by the incident. The victim told Officer Chang that her assailant was on the same bus and followed her when she got off the MUNI. As she was walking home, he came from behind her, violently grabbed her and pulled her hair. Luckily there were several other people around that prevented the incident from escalating by screaming at the suspect. The officers arrived on scene as witnesses and bystanders were delaying the suspect’s departure by screaming at him. The victim signed a complaint and the suspect was taken into custody, cited and released at the scene. This is ****The Best Arrest of the Day**** Report number 111031611

4:39am                 Unit Blk Coso               Robbery Attempt
Officer Ferronato was dispatched to a call of a robbery attempt. Upon arrival, Officer Ferronato noticed that the victim was holding a bag of ice to his mouth. The victim told the officer that as he was walking home, several suspects came from behind him and demanded that he give them his money and phone. The victim did not comply with the demands and continued to walk home. Suddenly, one of the suspects jumped on the victim’s back and attempted to tackle him. A fight then broke out with the victim being punched twice in the face. Although there were three suspects, only one of them fought the victim. The suspects then took off running down the street. The victim refused any medical assistance and said he would go to the hospital on his own. A search for the suspects was negative. Report number 111030237 

6:40pm               5200 Blk Diamond         Battery
Officer Pederson was dispatched to an assault incident. The victim told the officer that while working as security she observed a suspect stealing merchandise. The victim told the officer that she followed the suspect to the door when she observed the suspect realize that store security was on him. The suspect dropped the items and ran out the door. The victim chased the suspect and when she caught up to him the suspect turned and punched her in the face numerous times. The victim’s partner was not able to stop the suspect because he was also punched in the face. The officers will be securing the store video for suspect identification.  Report number 111031661

10:00pm            1700 Blk Sunnydale      Vandalism
Officers Trail and Peregoy were sent to investigate a vandalism incident to a car. The victim told the officers that she parked her car and locked it and the vehicle had no damage. When the victim returned to her car, she noticed that someone had slashed two tires. The victim has no enemies and was unable to provide any further description on the suspect.  Report number 111030970
