Arrests:
8:00pm 300 Blk Richland DUI
Officers Pereira and Archilla were dispatched to the 300 block of Richland Ave regarding an altercation over a vehicle accident. When the Officers arrived they noticed a black Saab parked in the middle of the street with damage to the front passenger side. A victim approached the Officers and told them that he witnessed a man attempting to park the Saab vehicle in front of his Honda. The owner of the Saab was unable to put his vehicle into park and turn the engine off so the victim assisted him. The victim believed the owner of the Saab to be under the influence of alcohol and told him that he would be calling the police. While officers were on scene, several other victims approached them and informed them that the Saab had crashed into their parked vehicle down the street. The officers then tested the blood alcohol level of the suspect and found that he was over the legal limit and was arrested. Report number 111029826
OTHER INCIDENTS:

Officers Ma, Hermosura, McCall, and Lozano were dispatched to a call that several individuals were fighting and one was bleeding from his face. When they arrived on scene the Officers identified a suspect that had cuts and bumps on his face and hands. The suspect also had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and refused to explain what happened. Two victims then approached the Officers and explained that the suspect had just vandalized their vehicle by punching in the rear window with his fist. The victims agreed to sign a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was then taken to the hospital before booking. Report number 111028903
3:22am 1800 Blk Geneva Burglary
Officers McCall and Lozano were dispatched to a storage unit that had been broken into. The victim told Officers that the last time he was at his storage unit was about two weeks ago and it was locked and secure. However, when he arrived today the door was open and several items had been stolen. The unit did not look like it had been forced open but there was damage to the handle because it would not stay in the locked position. Because the door was made of brushed steel fingerprints could not be taken. There are video surveillance cameras at the storage area; however the manager was unavailable to view them at that time. Report number 111028969
3:27am 700 Blk Portola Burglary
Officers Padilla and Seavey were dispatched to investigate a burglary at a business. When they arrived on scene they immediately noticed that the front door’s glass had been smashed and the lock was broken. The search for suspects was negative. Both cash registers appeared to be pried open and were empty. The business owner arrived and informed police that there were only a few dollars stolen and nothing else seemed to be missing. The officers advised the business owner not to touch the glass or the cash register because CSI would be arriving shortly and would attempt to find fingerprints. There was no video surveillance in the area that would help with the investigation. Report number 111028975
6:33am 2500 Blk San Jose Aggravated Assault
Officer Pai was dispatched to investigate the scene of a possible stabbing. The victim was already being transported to San Francisco General Hospital when Officer Pai arrived. Officer Pai continued the investigation and found a small pool of blood on the ground but no other evidence of any crime. Officer Pai then went to San Francisco General where the nurse told him that the victim’s wounds were not life threatening and he could be interviewed. The victim told officers that he was alone when three suspects confronted him and one of them stabbed him. He could not recall all the details or remember what the suspects looked like because he had consumed several alcoholic beverages earlier at a friend’s house. After he was stabbed, he fled the area but was unsure how he ended up at the bus shelter. Report number 111029042
11:30pm Unit Blk Admiral Aggravated Assault
Officers Hermosura and Contreras responded to a complaint call where a Spanish speaking woman claimed to be assaulted. She told police that she heard a knock at the door and when she answered it an unknown male punched her in the right eye and then fled from the scene. Because it happened so quickly, she told police that she would not be able to identify the suspect if she saw him again. She told the Officers that her vision was getting blurry so they summoned an ambulance and she was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. Report number 111030061
