Arrests:

12:11pm     3300 Blk Mission                    Theft
Officers Chew and Lim were sent to a theft call.  They spoke with the reportee who advised them that she observed a male enter the store, place some items in a brown bag and exit the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.  The reportee followed the suspect, detained him outside the store and escorted him back inside.  The reportee signed a citizen’s arrest for the theft and the suspect was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  The suspect was identified through his mug shot photo and a record check revealed several prior arrests for shoplifting.  He was therefore booked into custody for the theft charge.  Report Number 111015869

Officer Preston responded to the call of a battery.  The reportee advised that while in the course of his duties a male began arguing and pushing him.  The reportee said he was not injured and refused medical assistance.  He insisted on signing a citizen’s arrest for the battery.  The suspect was on scene and was a Spanish speaker.  He spoke with Officer Muro who responded to assist with the translation.  Officer Muro explained that he was going to be issuing the suspect a citation for the battery and explained follow up information to the suspect.  The suspect was cited and released at the scene and the victim was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 111016005

Officers Hurwitz and Elton were conducting passing calls in an area where they are aware that illegal narcotics are used and trafficked.  While in the area they observed a suspicious vehicle driving in the area which stopped in front of a home where criminal activity is known to take place.  They exited their vehicles and spoke with the driver of the parked vehicle as he exited the car.  The individual voluntarily provided the officers with his identification and a record check revealed the driver was driving on a suspended license as well as an outstanding warrant.  An arrest search of the vehicle located various tools known to be used in the commission of burglaries and items which were later identified as being stolen. The vehicle was towed and the suspect was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  The officers took pictures of the recovered items and provided the suspect with a property receipt.  He was booked at Ingleside station at the instruction of Sgt. 10:01pm     Arlington/Roanoke                 Poss. Stolen Property
Officer Tam was on patrol when he was advised of a male lurking in an area and possibly casing vehicles.  The reportee gave a location of the suspect and then stated that he observed the male damage one of the vehicles.  Officer Tam located a person fitting the description a few blocks away and several Ingleside units responded to assist.  Officer Tam detained the individual who advised the officer that he was on probation.  Officer Tam confirmed the suspect was on probation with a search condition.  A search of a backpack he was carrying located various tools known to be used to commit burglaries as well as several items which were later discovered to have been reported stolen.  An arrest search of his person located a glass pipe known to be used to ingest narcotics.  Officer Tam notified the suspect’s probation officer and explained the incident.  The probation officer requested that Officer Tam place the suspect on a probation hold.  The suspect was booked at Ingleside station for the possession of the burglary tools and stolen property.  He was provided with a property receipt for the items the officers took custody of.  Report Number 11107718

Officer Bernard was dispatched to investigate a theft.  He met with the victim who told him that she had ordered some items and had been advised by the shipping company that the items had been delivered and she had signed for them.  The victim told the company that she had never received or signed for any items and they requested she file a police report for reimbursement.  She was unable to provide the officer with any further information and was given follow up information.  Report Number 111015251

6:00pm       700 Blk Chenery                    Burglary
Officers Baldovino and Lundy responded to a burglary.  They met with the victim who advised that she locked and secured her home and when she returned found several items were missing.  She was unable to provide the officers with any suspect information and could locate no sign of forced entry to the home.  The officers inspected the home and also found no sign of forced entry.  They provided the victim with follow up information and advised her that San Francisco Crime Scene Investigations Unit would be responding to process the home for any evidence.  Report Number 111017780

8:20pm       900 Blk Ellsworth                   Agg. Assault
Officers Uang and Trail were sent to investigate a traffic collision in the area of the Alemany Housing Projects.  They met with a victim whose face appeared swollen.  The officers immediately summoned an ambulance to the scene to assist the victim.  The victim told him that he was walking back to his vehicle when a known suspect approached him and punched him in the face.  He confronted the suspect and the suspect hit him again and caused the victim to fall to the ground.  The victim went to defend himself by grabbing the suspect’s shirt and noticed the suspect was carrying a gun in his waistband.  He ran to his vehicle and attempted to drive away because he was in fear and accidentally crashed the vehicle into a parked truck.  The suspect continued to chase him and walked up to the vehicle and told the victim to get out of the car.  Several residents came out of their homes and tried to assist the victim and the suspect ran off and boarded a vehicle which sped away on Ellsworth Street.  The victim and witnesses provided the officers with a description of the vehicle and suspect and several officers canvassed the area unsuccessfully for them.  The victim was treated at the scene and provided with follow up information.  The officers took pictures of the scene which they booked into evidence and provided the owner of the parked truck with follow up information.  Sgt. Alvarez from Ingleside’s Special Investigations Team took over the investigation.  Report Number 111017423

Officer Otaguro was working on station duty at Ingleside station when a victim came in to report damage to his vehicle.  The victim said that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found the vehicle in disarray and several items missing.  The victim said there was no damage to the vehicle and was unable to provide any suspect information.  Report Number 111017605

A victim came to Ingleside station and told PSA Zabarte that she parked and secured her vehicle and when she returned found the vehicle had been ransacked but that no items were missing.  The victim said there was no damage to the vehicle and was unable to provide any further information.  Report Number 111017605
