Arrests:

11:51am     3300 Blk Mission                    Shoplifting
Officers Lim and Sugitan were dispatched to the call of a theft.  They met with the reportee who advised that he observed a male enter the store, place several items in his jacket and exit the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.  The reportee detained the suspect outside of the store and escorted him back inside.  He signed a citizen’s arrest for the theft and the suspect was cited and released at the scene.  The reportee was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 110995985

2:16pm       Mission/Powers                      Warrant
Officers Chew, Barajas and Naval responded to an assault aboard a MUNI bus.  They detained both individuals and escorted them off of the bus.  The male suspect had an open bottle of alcohol in his hands.  A record check revealed no outstanding warrants for the individual and he was cited and released at the scene for the open container.  A record check of the female suspect revealed an outstanding warrant.  The suspect was transported to Ingleside station and was booked into custody upon confirmation of the warrant.  Report Number 110996610

12:00pm     1300 Blk Plymouth                 Theft
Officers Sugitan and Fung were sent to investigate a theft.  They met with the victim who told them that she hosted a party for some employees and the next morning noticed that several items were missing from her home.  The victim was unable to provide any suspect information and did not see anyone take the items.  She was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 110997276

2:00pm       San Jose/Ocean                      Purse Snatch
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato that she was walking on Ocean Avenue when an unknown suspect came from behind and snatched her purse from her shoulder.  The suspect then ran eastbound down Ocean Avenue.  The victim said she was not injured, did not get a good look at the suspect and therefore would not be able to identify him.  She was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 110996648

3:00am       1300 Blk Bosworth                Theft
Officer Naval was on patrol when he was approached by the victim of a vehicle boost.  The victim told him that he parked and secured his truck and when he returned found a window smashed and several items missing.  Officer Naval observed damage to the truck area and provided the victim with follow up information.  He searched the area unsuccessfully for any possible cameras that may have caught footage of the theft.  Report Number 110996911

6:00pm       600 Blk London                      Vandalism
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found one of his tires was flattened.  He found a screw embedded in the tire but had already had it repaired prior to coming into the station.  He provided a statement regarding the incident and pictures of the screw which he had recovered from the tire.  He was provided with follow up information and PSA Cato booked the statement and pictures into evidence at Ingleside station.  Report Number 110996751

9:00pm       Velasco/Santos                       Robbery
Officers Khan and Dilag were on patrol when they were flagged down by a victim who had just been robbed.  The victim appeared to be bleeding from his left hand area and had complaint of head pain.  The officers immediately summoned an ambulance to treat his injuries.  The victim told them that he was walking near Velasco and Santos when he was approached by three male suspects who confronted him.  One of the suspects pulled out a knife and was waving it in front of the victim while the other two suspects grabbed him and searched through his pockets.  The victim said he put his hands in front of his face to prevent the knife from cutting him but the knife contacted his left hand and caused a laceration.  The suspects removed several items from the victim’s pockets and ran eastbound on Velasco.  The victim said that he got a good look at all of the suspects and believed he could identify them if he saw them again.  The officers took pictures of his injuries and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  The victim was provided with follow up information and transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  The officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspects.  They were unable to locate any cameras in the area which may have captured the incident.  Report Number 110997583
