              Warrant
Officers Hopkins and Duffin were on patrol when they spotted a suspect acting suspiciously.  The officers were very familiar with the residents in the area they were in and did not recognize the suspect.  The suspect made eye contact with the officers.  The suspect began to walk away from the officers by ducking in between building lines.  The officers exited the vehicle and made contact with the suspect.  The suspect gave the officers a name that did not come back with any results.  The suspect told the officers that he was visiting from Alaska, but there were no records to verify that information. The suspect finally admitted that he had lied about his name because he’s on parole with an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  The suspect was taken into custody.  Report 110998995

                Narcotics
Officers Hurwitz, Elton and Rueca were on patrol in an area known for narcotic activity.  The officers spotted a vehicle idling with two passengers inside.  The officers recognized the passenger from prior police contact who was on probation.  The officers approached the vehicle and saw the driver of the vehicle shove an item in between the front seat and center console.  A records check of the driver revealed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.  The officers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamines.  The driver was arrested for the warrant and possession of suspect narcotics.  The passenger was released at the scene.  Report 111000832

Officers Ferronato and Anderson were dispatched to a report of shots fired.  The victim told the officers that he had taken his dog outside to use the restroom, but that the dog was not on leash.  The victim was standing at the bottom of his stairs when he heard his dog barking at someone at the top of the stairs.  The victim said he heard multiple gunshots and could see the flash of a gun.  The dog ran down the stairs and the victim took the dog inside his residence.  The victim did not see the suspect but believed he was trying to shoot his dog.  The officers recovered several bullet casings at the scene.  Report 111001078

Officers Hom and Cassinelli responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim had secured her premise and left for a few hours.  Upon her return, the victim found the glass pane of her front door shattered and the door ajar.  Several items were stolen from inside.  Report 111000581

PSA Cato took a report regarding vandalism.  The victim discovered that the door handles to his vehicle had been broken in half.  Report 110999799

                   Burglary
CPSA’s Callaghan and Navarro were dispatched to a report of a burglary.  The victim was leaving for work when she noticed the exterior iron gate was open.  She then discovered that the door leading into her basement had been forced open.  Nothing was taken from the basement.  Report 110998600

PSA Cato took a report regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim parked and locked her vehicle.  Upon return to the vehicle, the victim discovered that a front passenger window had been smashed and the items inside the vehicle had been rummaged through.  Several items were taken.  Report 111000547

CPSA’s Navarro and Callaghan responded to a report of vandalism.  The victim said that the door handle to her front door had been damaged.  A neighbor had similar damage to their front door.  No one had gained entry into the residence.  Report 110998650

Officers Thompson and Naval were dispatched to a report of theft.  The victim parked his bicycle and locked it, leaving it unattended.  A couple days later, he realized that his bicycle had been stolen.  Report 110998876

Officer Paras responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim left his room for a few hours.  Upon his return, he discovered that his room had been ransacked and a television was stolen.  Report 111000484

PSA Zabarte took a report regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim had parked and locked her vehicle.  Upon his return, the victim found the items inside his car had been thrown about and several items had been stolen.  There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.  Report 110998923

Officer Ocreto was dispatched to a report of an assault.  The victim had been physically attacked by three suspects.  The victim fell to the ground and was kicked repeatedly as she lay on the ground.  The three suspects fled the area.  Report 110999238

Officers Trail, Peregoy and Hopkins were dispatched to a report of vandalism.  The victim left her premise locked and secured.  When she returned home, the front door had been kicked in.  Nothing was missing from the residence.  Report 110996400

               Battery
Officers Dilag and Khan responded to a report of a battery.  The victim was driving his friend and the suspect.  The suspect became upset with the friend and began punching him.  The suspect then turned her attention to the victim and punched him twice in the back of the head.  The victim pulled over and the suspect got out of the vehicle.  The suspect picked up an unknown object and threw it at the vehicle shattering the window.  The suspect left the area with the victim’s friend.  Report 111000111

Officers Chang and Park were dispatched to a report of a burglary.  The victim returned home and found his front door kicked in.  The officers conducted a walk through and found that the suspect had already fled.  The victim looked through his residence and reported several items stolen.  Report 111000387

PSA Cato took a report regarding vandalism to a vehicle.  The victim parked her vehicle and left it unattended.  Upon her return, she found several dents to the passenger fender and doors.  Report 111000633

CPSA’s Callaghan and Navarro were dispatched to a report of theft from a vehicle.  The victim discovered the window on his vehicle was partially open and several items were stolen from the car.  Report 110998092

Officer Lundy responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim returned home and found that the deadbolt on her front door was unlocked, even though she had locked it upon leaving her residence.  Several items were taken from the house.  Report 111000741
