Incident Date:
Saturday, November 26th, 2011

Arrests:

2:22am                 4900 Blk Mission St               Robbery, Etc
Officers Morse, McMilton, Padilla and Seavey were on duty when they stopped by a grocery store.  As they approached the store, a uniformed employee of the store was seen exiting, following a suspect.  The employee pointed at the suspect and then pointed to his own waistband indicating that the suspect had something concealed in his waistband area.  The suspect got into the passenger side of a vehicle while holding his waistband area. One officer approached the vehicle and told the suspect to exit the car so she could investigate the incident further.  A second officer approached the driver side door and gave the driver multiple commands to exit the vehicle.  Both suspects refused to exit the vehicle.  The driver started the engine and attempted to put the vehicle into drive.  The officers feared that the driver would use the vehicle to run them over.  One officer struck the driver side window with his flashlight to break it.  The window shattered and the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed.  The driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the two marked police vehicles parked on the street.  The officers ran towards the scene of the accident when the driver suddenly reversed the vehicle and then pulled forward headed directly towards an officer.  The vehicle struck the officer, who rolled up onto the hood of the vehicle before falling to the ground.  The driver of the vehicle sped off without stopping.  Two officers were transported to SFGH for treatment of injuries from the broken glass and from getting hit by the vehicle.

The witness told the officers who remained on scene that the first suspect had taken two bottles of vodka from the grocery store and concealed them in the waistband of his pants.  The suspect left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.  When the witness saw the officers, he was motioning towards his waistband to indicate that the suspect had placed the merchandise there.

A short time later, dispatch advised officers still on the scene that Daly City PD had located the vehicle involved in the incident.  Both suspects were still inside.  Daly City PD officers had stopped the vehicle because it had been driving erratically and they noticed the damage on the front of the vehicle.  The witness was transported to the scene of the traffic stop and positively identified the driver and passenger as having been involved in the incident.  Both suspects were taken into custody and booked on several felony charges.  The two bottles of vodka were recovered from the back seat in the vehicle.  Report 110949506

9:00am
400 Blk Los Palmos Dr
          Trespassing
Officers Curry and Turner were dispatched to a report of a prowler.  While en route, the officers were advised that a suspect had been on the back deck of a residence.  The witnesses said the suspect had jumped over the fence and went into a residence next door.  The officers located the residence and made contact with a possible suspect.  The suspect told the officers that he had not been trespassing.  The suspect claimed that he heard a loud argument and went to see what was going on.  The suspect said he peered over a wood railing into the next door residence to see what was going on.  The suspect said that the residences saw him looking at them and yelled, so he went back into his friend’s house.

The victims told the officers that they noticed a shadow on the back window of their house.  They looked out and saw the suspect standing on their roof.  One of the victims yelled at the suspect and asked him why he was on their roof.  The victim said the suspect looked confused and climbed down off of the roof.  The victims wanted to press charges against the suspect for trespassing and signed a citizen’s arrest.

The suspect was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  The suspect provided the officers with a statement regarding the incident and he was released from the station after having been cited for trespassing.  Report 110949813
