3:41pm Mission & Italy St Warrant
Officers Bernard and Johnson were on patrol when they were flagged down by the driver of a MUNI bus. The driver pointed out a suspect on the bus that was intoxicated and asked that he be removed from the bus. The officers contacted the suspect and escorted him off of the bus. The officers saw a liquid dripping from beneath the suspects jacket and discovered he was concealing an open container of alcohol. The suspect gave the officers a fake name several times, before finally admitting his real name. A records check revealed that the suspect had an outstanding warrant and he was taken into custody. 6:41pm 3500 Mission St False Registration
Officers Archilla and Paras were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle driving in front of them. The license plate on the vehicle had a “December” registration sticker on it. A records check revealed that the registration had expired in January of 2011. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver. The driver admitted he took the December sticker off of another vehicle and put it on his license plate because he couldn’t afford his registration. The driver was cited for false registration. PSA Flynn took a report regarding threats. The victim said that a suspect known to him had called and threatened to beat him up. The suspect then came to the victim’s house, rang the doorbell and ran. The victim is fearful of the suspect and believes he would carry out his threats. Report 110546215
4:54am 5600 Mission St Vandalism
Officers Seavey and Benavidez were dispatched to a report of a person breaking into a room at a hotel. The victim stated he was in his room when he heard banging on the door. The victim heard the suspect yell, “where’s my baby?” before finally walking away. The suspect damaged the door frame but did not gain entry into the room. Report 110544087
9:05am Unit Blk Phelan Ave Theft
CCSFPD Officer Chang took a responded to a report of a theft. The victim secured his belongings into a locker with a lock. When he returned, his lock was missing and belongings were gone from inside. All of his belongings were returned later, except for the victim’s iPhone. Report 110941572
9:30am 300 Foerster St Fraud
PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding fraud. The victim said she placed an ad on Craigslist regarding dog training. The suspect contacted the victim and told her he was interested in her services. The suspect told the victim that he lived in Canada and needed help with movers’ fees. The suspect sent the victim a check, which she deposited into her checking account. The victim then withdrew over a thousand dollars to send back to the suspect. The victim received a second check from the suspect and attempted to deposit it. The victim’s bank notified her that the initial check, and the second check, was fraudulent. Report 110544673
1:30pm 2400 Alemany Blvd Vandalism
Sgt. Miller responded to a report of an attempted break in. The front door knob/lock had been damaged so that it was unable to be opened. It did not appear that the suspect made entry into the residence. Report 110545126
6:32pm Visitacion & Britton Assault
Sgt. Riskin and Officer Blume were dispatched to a report of vandalism. The victim was driving in her vehicle when suddenly, the front passenger side window shattered and she felt an object hit her. She looked down and saw a rock between the driver and passenger seat. The victim sustained a small cut to her forearm but did not require medical attention. Report 110546055
8:23pm 900 Blk Ellsworth St Mischief
Officer Johnson responded to a report of a broken window. The victim returned home and found the bedroom and bathroom windows of her residence were cracked. It appeared that a suspect had thrown an unknown object at the windows causing the damage. Report 110546293
9:00pm 700 Blk Rolph St Phone Calls
PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report from a victim regarding annoying phone calls. The victim stated a known suspect had called him and left a rambling message. Report 110544491
10:45pm Mission & Richland Robbery
Officers Barajas and Shugars responded to a report of a robbery. The victim got on a MUNI bus and sat near the rear exit. A suspect approached the victim and grabbed her purse, which she had on her lap. The victim tried to hold onto her purse but the suspect gained control of it. The suspect fled from the bus, and fell to the ground dropping the purse. A second suspect got off of the bus, grabbed the purse and fled the first suspect. Report 110546334
