SFCCPD Officer Chang was on routine foot patrol when he saw two suspects smoking a substance.  The officer recognized a smell as suspected marijuana.  One of the suspects had suspected marijuana in his backpack.  The suspect was cited for possession.  Report 110498650

2:03pm        3100 Blk Cesar Chavez    Firearm
Sgt. Lozada and Officers Blume, Pereira and Gonzalez were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle parked with three suspects inside.  It appeared that the three suspects were smoking marijuana cigarettes.  The officers contacted the suspects.  As they approached the vehicle, there was a strong smell of suspected marijuana coming from inside.  The officers detained the three suspects and searched the vehicle for more narcotics.  A handgun was located in the trunk of the vehicle.  A records check revealed one of the suspects had an outstanding warrant.  Two suspects were taken into custody and one was released.  Report 110502013 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY!!***

Officers Apodaca, Gabriel and Antonian were on patrol when they noticed that the vehicle in front of them did not have any functioning brake lights.  The officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver.  A records check revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant.  Report 110502477

    Robbery
Officers Hurwitz and Daggett, in addition to several other SFPD units, responded to serve a search warrant of a residence.  A suspect at this residence was detained regarding a robbery that had occurred earlier in the day.  The officers located a handgun, as well as narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia.  The suspect was arrested.  Report 110503378

Officer Frisk was dispatched to a call regarding a robbery.  The victim had been walking to the BART station.  He was about to put his headphones in his ears when a suspect approached him and grabbed the headphones and the iPhone they were attached.  The suspect ran and the victim chased him.  A second suspect ran up behind the victim and hit him in the head twice with something hard.  The other suspect punched the victim in the face.  The victim noticed one of the suspects was holding a handgun.  The suspects fled.  Report 110500904

Officer Marino responded to a report of a purse snatch.  The victim took the MUNI bus and exited at Geneva and Santos.  Two suspects approached her from behind.  One of the suspects grabbed her purse and fled.  Report 110500982

Officer Brown took a report regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim said he noticed the door handle on his vehicle was damaged.  There was nothing missing from his vehicle.  Report 110503920

SFCCPD Officer Hakes took a report regarding a theft.  The victim secured her belongings in a locker with a padlock.  The padlock was cut and several of her items were taken.  Report 110501372

Officers Padilla and Sullivan responded to a report regarding shoplifting.  The suspect entered the store and grabbed several lottery tickets from the front counter.  The suspect fled but is known to the store employees.  Report 110502007

Sgt. Miller was dispatched to a report of a shoplifting.  Three suspects entered the store together and taken several items off the shelves.  The suspects left the store with no attempt to pay for the items.  Report 110499062

            Theft
Officer Muro responded to a report of a theft from a building.  The victim suspected a roommate was stealing his money out of his bedroom, which he left unlocked.  The victim set up a video camera and captured his roommate taking the money.  The roommate told the victim he would pay him back the money but never did.  The roommate has since moved out of the residence.  Report 110499006

Officers Obot, Trail and Johnson were on patrol when they were dispatched to a report of vandalism to a vehicle.  The victim saw a group of suspects standing on the sidewalk.  One of the suspects threw an object at the victim’s vehicle, causing a crack in the windshield.  A second victim confronted the suspects.  One suspect ran off and returned brandishing a handgun.  The officers detained several suspects matching the description but the victims refused to identify them.  Report 110502922

Sgt. Heidohrn responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle.  The victim saw a suspect throw a rock at her vehicle, causing a small dent to the rear passenger door.  Report 110503083
