5:00am Naples & Rolph St Hit & Run
Sgt. Miller responded to a report of an accident with property damage only. The driver that caused the collision fled the scene but was located at a residence nearby. The driver admitted that she fled the scene of the accident because she was scared. She also had a suspended license. The driver was arrested. Report 110453795
2:19pm 200 Blk Ottawa Ave Narcotics
Officers Hurwitz and Daggett responded to a report of a group drinking and using drugs in a parking lot. The officers arrived and recognized two vehicles that were described to them by dispatch. They saw one of the suspects pass a hand rolled cigarette to another suspect. When the suspects realized the officers were there, the suspect tried to hide the cigarette. Upon the officer’s approach, they saw a glass pipe, consistent with a device used to consume narcotics. There was also a smell emanating from both vehicles consistent with marijuana. Six suspects were detained. Upon further investigation, two suspects were found with illegal narcotics and implements used to sell narcotics. The suspects were arrested and the other four released from the scene. Report 110454668
8:12pm 1700 Blk Sunnydale Ave Injunction
Officers Dudley and Antonian were on patrol when they saw four suspects who are known gang members. The suspects saw the officers and ran. Two of the suspects were apprehended. One was cited for evading arrest and the other was arrested for violating a gang injunction and for evading arrest. Report 110455569
11:29pm 100 Blk Highland Ave Robbery
Officers Hopkins and Uang were on patrol when they saw a suspect they recognized as being wanted for a prior robbery and kidnapping incident. The officers made contact with the suspect, confirmed his identity and took him into custody. Report 110126062 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY***
11:17pm 700 Blk Paris St Narcotics
Officers Hurwitz and Daggett were speaking with a subject in an area known for illegal narcotics use and sales when a suspect emerged from his house. The officers recognized the suspect from prior police contact. The officers called out to the suspect, and he walked over to them. The suspect was on active parole. A parole search of the suspect revealed that he was in possession of narcotics, narcotic paraphernalia, and burglary tools. The suspect was taken into custody. Report 110455826
11:54pm Unit Blk Seneca Ave D.U.I.
Officers Pereira and Gonzalez were on patrol. A vehicle made an illegal u-turn in front of them. The officers followed the vehicle and it suddenly pulled into a driveway. The officers made contact with the driver and noticed strong smell of alcohol on his breath. The driver admitted he had been drinking at a local bar and was just driving his friend home. The driver failed to perform the field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was arrested. Report 100455945

PSA Cato took a report regarding vandalism to a vehicle. The victim said that earlier in the day, he was parking his vehicle when suddenly an irate suspect came up next to the car. The suspect was yelling and him and pounded her fist into the rear door of the car, causing a dent. The suspect got into a vehicle with a male subject and they parked nearby. The suspect and the male subject left. The victim left a note on the suspect’s vehicle with his phone number, asking her to fix the dents she caused. The victim received two phone calls later in the day with a male yelling at him incoherently. Report 110455791
1:10pm 200 Blk Santos Ave Threats
Officers Johnson and Bernard were dispatched to a report of a possible stabbing or cutting. When the officers arrived, they made contact with the victim. The victim was in an altercation with a suspect who lives nearby. He said the suspect swung a large butcher knife at him and threatened to kill him. The victim had to grab the suspect’s hands to keep her from cutting him. The victim feared for his life. The officers attempted to locate the suspect but were unable to. Report 110454486
6:00pm 1900 Blk Sunnydale Ave Burglary
Officers Antonian and Dudley responded to a call regarding a burglary. The victims stated they left their residence earlier in the day. They locked the front door but left the back door unlocked. They also left a window unlocked. When they returned home, they noticed the front door of the residence slightly ajar. Several items were missing from the house. Report 110455177
10:09pm 3400 Blk Mission St Assault
Officers Archilla and Paras responded to a call regarding an assault. The victim was sitting in a bar drinking when two suspects approached him from behind. One of the suspects hit the victim in the back of the head with a glass bottle. The victim fell to the floor and was punched several times. The victim fled from the bar before calling the police. 11:24pm 200 Blk Silver Ave Robbery
Officers Contreras and Hermosura were on patrol when a victim flagged them down. He said he was just robbed by two suspects. The victim was walking home when he saw a vehicle pass him. The vehicle was parked and the two suspects exited. One of the suspects grabbed him from behind around the neck while the other suspect punched him numerous times in the stomach. The victim fell to the ground and one suspect grabbed the victims backpack and iPhone. The suspects fled. Several officers responded to the area and searched for the suspects with negative results.
