4:59am 3300 Blk Mission Battery
Officers Lundy and Polovina were dispatched to a call regarding a battery on a MUNI bus. They spoke with victim who told them he was standing toward the rear of the bus when he opened one of the windows and sat down. The person seated next to him said, “Do you have a problem?” The person then proceeded to slap him on his right cheek. Victim was not injured and refused medical treatment. The officers detained the alleged suspect who denied hitting the victim. The victim insisted on signing a citizen’s arrest and the suspect was cited for the battery. Report 110372195
11:35pm 700 Blk Geneva Vandalism
Officers Chang and Pak responded to a call of two women walking intoxicated in the street. Complainant advised that the two women had also kicked her vehicle. Officers made contact with the woman who stated she was driving on Geneva when she was forced to slam on her brakes to avoid hitting two women in the intersection. The women had left the area after they kicked complainant’s vehicle and screamed profanities at her. Victim then pointed down the street and said that a woman standing there was possibly one of the women who had damaged her vehicle. The officers detained the woman who had a strong odor of alcohol on her person and an unsteady gait. The woman told the officers she was alone and denied kicking anyone’s vehicle. Complainant positively identified the woman as one of the women who had kicked her vehicle and signed a citizen’s arrest against her. The officers took her into custody for the vandalism and being intoxicated in public. Report 110374066 **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY**

0:30am Unit Blk Prospect Battery
Officers Baldovino and Otaguro responded to a call of a fight. They made contact with a woman who stated that she had recently gone through a break up and had been involved in an altercation with the person she had dated. Victim had responded to the house where she used to reside to pick up some belongings when the suspect grabbed her phone and keys and pushed her causing her to fall. The victim sustained a scratch to her forehead. Victim said she attempted to get up and was pushed down again causing her to hit her head. Victim called the police and the suspect left the area. An ambulance was summoned and victim refused any medical assistance. Officers took pictures of the scene and victim which they booked into evidence. They canvassed the area unsuccessfully for the suspect. Report 110371874
9:44am Unit Blk Arnold Att. Burglary
Officer Trujillo and Sgt. Escobar responded to a call of a possible burglary in progress. They met with the caller who advised that a male had entered her residence through a window. Various officers responded for assistance and searched for the suspect as described by the caller. Victim stated that she heard some noises and what seemed to be the sound of footsteps and when she looked out one of her windows saw a male standing outside the window. The male was attempting to force open the window and the caller immediately hit the panic button on her alarm system. When the suspect heard the alarm he jumped over the fence and ran down the pathway. Victim advised that she recognized the suspect because he made a previous attempt to enter her home in the past. Victim stated that she could recognize the suspect if she saw him again. Officers canvassed the area and spoke with several witnesses who said they possibly saw the suspect but were unsure what was going on with him. They searched vigorously, but unsuccessfully, for the suspect. Report 110372402
12:45pm 200 Blk Ashton Fraud
Victim came to Ingleside Police Station to report identity theft. She stated that shortly after her vehicle had been broken into she received a call from her bank regarding suspicious charges on her account. Victim confirmed that various charges which she did not authorize had been made on her account. The bank requested she file a police report. Victim was unable to provide any further information. 1:10pm Mission/Ocean Vandalism
Officer Frisk responded to a call of a vehicle vandalism. She met with complainant who told her that she had parked and secured her vehicle and when she returned found someone had kicked the side mirror and broken it. Complainant’s son told the officer that a man who appeared intoxicated had kicked the mirror several times and continued walking on Mission Street. Officer Frisk searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect. Report 110372866
3:00pm 100 Blk Brookdale Burglary
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca responded to a call of a burglary. Victim said that he left and secured his home and returned to find the front door open and various items missing. Officers observed no other signs of forced entry and determined the burglar had entered and left through the front door. Victim was unable to provide any further information. Report 110373400
6:00pm 200 Blk Winding Fraud
Victim came to Ingleside Police Station to report a fraud. She stated that after receiving a phone call from one of her credit card representatives of unusual activity on her account to observe several multiple transactions on various accounts which she did not authorize. Victim was provided with identity theft information and was unable to provide any suspect information. Report 110372850
7:00pm 4600 Blk Mission Shoplifting
Officers Leong and Castillo were dispatched to a call of a male screaming for help. They meet with the caller who told them that he called because he observed a male chasing another male and calling out for help because the person had stolen something from him. The caller provided the officers with a description of the suspect and they searched the area. While doing so another call was dispatched regarding a shoplifter on Mission Street. The description of the suspect was very similar to that which the caller had given. The officer responded to the store and spoke with two of the employees who stated a male had taken headphones and other items and ran out the front door without paying. The employees stated that one of them ran out of the store after the suspect but stopped following him and called the police. The employees said they would be able to recognize the suspect if they saw him again. Officers continued to canvass the area unsuccessfully for the suspect. Report 110373557
7:43pm 1300 Blk Sunnydale Shots Fired
Officers Trail and Peregoy were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing Projects when they heard what sounded like five gunshots. They radioed for additional assistance and various units responded to the area. The officers searched the area for any witnesses or possible victims. They contacted several witnesses who advised they observed two males running on Sunnydale after they heard the shots. One of the witnesses advised that one of the males was shooting westbound on Sunnydale. Officers searched the area for the suspects to no avail. However, they were able to locate caliber casings and took photos of the scene which they booked into evidence. They were unable to locate any victims. Report 110373626
11:20pm 200 Blk Hahn Agg. Assault
Officers Polovina and Kneuker responded to a call of a stabbing. They met with victims who were being treated by ambulance. One victim had lacerations to his head and left and the other to her left hand. One of the victims stated that another individual who resides in the home had stabbed him and fled the scene on Hahn St. The other victim was elderly and Spanish speaking. The officers requested a Spanish speaking officer for translation. Officers were led to the kitchen by the victim who pointed to a kitchen knife which was the one used in the attack. Officers confiscated the weapon. Officers took photos of the victims and the scene which they booked into evidence. They also confiscated the clothes the first victim was wearing for evidence. The victim told the officers he was trying to sleep in the living room when he asked the suspect to stop making noise. The victim became agitated and attacked him. Suspect then went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and stabbed him repeatedly. The elderly victim stated that when he was being attacked she attempted to stop them from fighting and put her arms around the victim to shield him. She was struck in the process causing a laceration to her left hand. Suspect then screamed, “What did I do?” and fled the area. The officers canvassed the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.
