10:00am 5400 Blk Mission Burglary
Officer Giannini and various other Ingleside units responded to the call of a possible robbery. The officer spoke with reportee who advised that a person matching the description of the possible suspect had run into the building and was hiding in an inside loft. The officers made entry and while clearing the building located a male sitting on a bed in the loft area. They detained the individual.
The officers then responded to the address where the robbery occurred and spoke with one of the workers. She stated she was bringing pastries from the rear of the store to the front to display them for sale when she noticed a male looking inside the windows. She went from the back of the store to the front on various occasions and noticed the same male in the window. On one occasion when she returned to the front she saw the male behind the counter taking money from the cash register and putting it in his pockets. She asked him, “What’s up” and the male ran out of the store and down Mission Street. The officers transported the worker to the area where the male was detained and she positively identified him as the person having taken the money from the cash register. Officers took pictures of the crime scene and the male was taken into custody without incident. Report 110400455 “BEST ARREST OF THE DAY”
7:04pm Mission/Onondaga Traffic Arrest
Officers Fung and Suguitan were on patrol and stopped at a red light on Mission Street. They observed a black vehicle in front of them enter the intersection while the light was still red and make a left turn onto Onondaga. The officers affected a traffic stop and the driver advised that he did not have a driver’s license. A record check revealed the individual also had an outstanding traffic warrant. He was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed. Report 110402106

8:00am 100 Blk Brookdale Vandalism
Officer Peregoy responded to the call of vandalism. They spoke with reportee who advised that she left and secured the premises and when she returned found various windows had been broken. Reportee was unable to provide any further information. Report 110401318
12:00pm Unit Blk Mateo Theft
Victim came to Ingleside station to report a theft. He said that he was taking care of a relative’s estate that had passed away and one day when he returned to the premises he noticed a jewelry box missing which contained various items of jewelry. He said that he believes one of the tenants in the home may have taken the items but did not any proof of this. Report 110398533
3:00pm 900 Blk San Jose Battery
Victim came to Ingleside station to report a battery. She advised that she had hired a handyman to work on her home and became dissatisfied with his services. When she repeatedly asked the man to leave her property he grabbed her with his hands, pushed her backwards toward an iron gate and shook her several times. Officers responded to the property and were advised neither party wanted any police action at that time. Victim decided later that she wanted the incident documented. Although victim complained of pain she insisted she would seek her own medical treatment.
