SFCCPD Officer Chang was on patrol when he observed a gentleman driving his vehicle and talking on a cellular phone.  He affected a traffic stop and when he approached the vehicle noticed what appeared to be a strong smell of marijuana.  He noticed the driver’s speech was slow and slurred.  The driver said that his friends had been smoking marijuana and he was unable to produce a medical marijuana card.  When asked if he had any other illegal substances in the vehicle the driver produced a pipe containing what appeared to be marijuana inside of it.  He was cited for the narcotics and paraphernalia.  Report 110397745  “BEST ARREST OF THE DAY”

9:00am               Unit Blk Leo                Burglary
Officers Chew and Lim responded to a call of a burglary.  They spoke with reportee who advised that the left and secured the premises and when he returned found a fence in the rear of the building kicked in and a door kicked in as well.  The burglars then proceeded to tag the windows with spray paint.  Reportee was unsure if any items were missing and could provide no further information. Officers Padilla and Sullivan responded to the call of a battery.  Victim advised that she began arguing with one of her roommates when the roommate’s husband walked into the room and attempted to stop the arguing.  She said that the male began yelling at her as well and pushed her once with his right hand.  Victim said she was not injured and refused medical assistance.  She requested no further police action and advised that the male was no longer in the home as he had left for work.  Report 110398191

Officers Kneuker and Jones were dispatched to the call of a broken window.  Victim advised that she left her home secure and when she returned found a large hole in one of the windows.  She was unable to provide any further information.  Report 110399951

4:00pm               1100 Blk Goettingen Embezzlement
Officers Naval and Morrow responded to a call regarding an embezzled auto.  They spoke with complainant who advised he agreed to sell his vehicle to a gentleman and was given a down payment.  Complainant gave the gentleman the keys to the vehicle and never received any further payments.  He attempted on several occasions to contact the gentleman with negative results.  He was later advised of various parking tickets which had been issued on the vehicle and wanted the incident document to attempt to protest the tickets.  Report 110397262

6:12pm               600 Blk Portola           Theft
Officers Park and Chang responded to a theft.  They met with the complainant who told them she saw two females enter the store, walk down the aisles and place several items in their jackets.  She asked them to return the items and stood in front of the front door to block them from exiting.  The two ladies pushed her out of the way and left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.  The complainant said she was not injured and did not require medical assistance.  Complainant said she has had several incidents with the same individuals and can identify them.  The officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspects.  Report 110399309

Officers Araujo and Pai were dispatched to the call of a burglary.  Victim advised that she arrived at the business and found the front window smashed and various items missing.  She was unable to provide any further information.  Officers took photos of the damage to the business and were unsuccessful in finding any fingerprint evidence.  Report 110397171
