Arrests:

2:39pm               800 Blk Rutland          Narcotics
Officers Hurwitz and Tam were on patrol and doing a passing call on an address known for illegal gambling and narcotics.  A male drove up and parked his vehicle in front of the home.  One of the officers recognized the man from prior contacts.  They made contact with him and asked him for identification.  A record check revealed the man was driving on a suspended license and was on active probation.  A probation search found a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance in the male’s jacket which the officers believed to be methamphetamine.  Additional narcotics were located in the vehicle hidden under a carpet.  The officers tested the substance and it was positive for methamphetamine.  The gentleman was arrested for the narcotics offense and the vehicle was towed.  Report 110381118 

6:20pm               2700 Blk Alemany      Warrant Arrest
Officers Hom, Casinelli and Sgt. Lozada were on patrol when they observed a suspicious male riding a bicycle on the sidewalk on Alemany Boulevard.  The male appeared to be looking into the windows of several vehicles.  The officers made contact with the male and a record check revealed he was on felony probation.  A probation searched was performed with negative results.  However, dispatch advised that the male had an active no bail warrant.  He was taken into custody without incident.

7:05pm               100 Blk Laura              Narcotics
Officer Burke, Sgt. Rainsford and several other Ingleside officers conducted a search warrant on a premise regarding narcotics related activity. They knocked at the door and a gentleman answered.  The officers advised they had a search warrant for the premise and the officers entered the home.  A newspaper was located containing green leafy vegetable material which the officers believed to be marijuana.  Officers located a vacuum sealed pouched containing leafy vegetable matter in a basket with stuffed animals.  An electronic scale was located on a dresser in a bedroom along with a box of sandwich baggies known to the officers to be used for packaging and seller narcotics.  A loaded pistol was located in a brown case in hamper containing children’s clothing.  A record check on the gentleman who answered the door revealed he was a convicted felon and was prohibited from possessing firearms.  During the search two additional tenants arrived at the home.  One of the tenants was named as one of the persons in the search warrants.  Officers took this woman, along with the male into custody.  They took pictures of the scene and booked the pictures and all evidence confiscated into evidence.  Report 110382100  **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY**

00:42am             Unit Blk Calgary         Robbery
Officers Ferronato and Benavidez responded to a call of a robbery.  They made contact with victim who told them she had been robbed.  She told them she was walking on Calgary when she heard footsteps behind her.  Two males approached her from behind, one pressed a handgun to the right side of her cheek and demanded her purse.  The suspect threatened to shoot her if she didn’t hand over her purse.  The other suspect pulled her purse from her hands and both took off running on Calgary.  Victim said she would not be able to identify them if she saw them again.  An ambulance was requested and she was transported to the hospital for medical clearance.  Report 110382661

8:00am               100 Blk Loehr             Burglary
Officers Martinez and LaRocca responded to the call of a burglary.  They were advised by a maintenance worker that he had been notified the front door of a residence had been kicked in.  The maintenance worker escorted the officers to the residence and they observed the front door had been kicked off its hinges.  Officers conducted a protective sweep of the residence and determined it was empty.  The resident responded and advised the officers he left the home and secured it that morning.  He advised the officers that he observed several items missing.  Sgt. Miller responded to the scene and took pictures which were booked into evidence.  SFPD’s crime scene investigation unit was advised and stated they would be responding to the residence to process it for evidence.

11:38am             2800 Blk Diamond     Fraud
Victim flagged down Officer Trujillo and advised he had lost his versatel card.  Victim advised that he last used it that morning and when he checked online noticed that there were various transactions he had not authorized.  He advised his bank and the bank told him they required a police report.  Victim was unable to provide any further information. 12:50pm             Unit Blk Phelan          Theft
SFCCPD Officer Smith responded to a call of multiple thefts.  One victim advised that a flash drive had been taken from her computer and another victim advised her cellular phone which she had left unattended had been taken.  Neither victim(s) could provide any further information of suspect description.  Reports 110378228 and 110363815

8:44pm               Cayuga/Geneva          Vandalism
Officers Park and Chang responded to a call of a broken bus window.  Dispatch advised that several individuals had vandalized the window of a MUNI bus and were still standing at the bus stop.  Officers responded and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects matching the description provided.  They located the bus which was stationary and spoke with the bus driver.  The bus driver said he was driving the bus and recognized the individuals from past experiences when they had tagged his bus.  He refused to let them on the bus when one of the females kicked the bus door and he heard it shatter.  He said he would be able to recognize her again if he saw her.  A MUNI inspector responded to the scene and officers requested video footage for their report.  Report 110382229
