Arrests:

3:35pm           2800 Diamond St                          Battery
Officer Preston responded to a report of a battery.  The victim stated that a suspect often enters his store and causes a disturbance by yelling and cursing.  On this occasion, the suspect entered the store and began to bother customers.  The victim asked the suspect to leave, but he refused.  The suspect hit the victim in the chest. The victim grabbed the suspect in attempt to get him out of the store.  Both the victim and suspect fell over some boxes.  The suspect got up and fled.  Officer Bernard responded to the area and was able to locate the suspect.  The victim wanted to press charges and the suspect was arrested for battery.  Report 110361499

7:55pm           Unit Blk Sadowa St        Narcotics Offense
Officers Burke and McMilton were on patrol when they were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle.  The officers spotted the vehicle, which subsequently committed a traffic violation in their presence.  The officers conducted a traffic stop and advised the suspect of the violation.  Upon contacting the suspect, the officers recognized what they believed to be the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Further investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of narcotics.  The suspect was cited for the violations.  Report 110362356

8:00pm           3400 Blk Mission St             Burglary Tools
Officers Pereira, Gonzalez and Archilla were on patrol when they noticed a suspect walking on the sidewalk carrying a small brown paper bag.  These bags are often used to conceal alcoholic beverages.  The suspect appeared to be drinking from whatever was inside the bag. The officers contacted the suspect and confirmed that he had an open container of alcohol and he admitted that he had been drinking it.  The suspect was on probation and the officers conducted a probation search.  The suspect had keys that belonged to two different vehicles.  Further investigation revealed that one of the keys the suspect possessed belonged to a vehicle parked nearby that had been reported stolen.  The suspect was taken into custody.  Report 110365924 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY***

Officer Anderson responded to a report of people breaking into a vehicle.  A witness saw two suspects inside a vehicle and watched as they looked around inside.  The suspects took several items from the vehicle and took them over to a stairwell where they sat and examined the items.  The suspects fled as the witness called the police.  Report 110365968

6:30am           Unit Blk Addison St                    Vandalism
Officer Najarro responded to a report of damage to a vehicle.  A vehicle belonging to the victim had a shattered window.  A small steel “BB” was found inside the vehicle.  Report 110363150

12:00pm        Unit Blk Phelan Ave                            Theft
CCSFPD Officer Chang took a report regarding a theft.  The victim stated she fell asleep with her cheek on her purse.  When she awoke, the victim realized her purse was missing.  Report 110358173

1:00pm          400 Blk Silver Ave          False Personation
PSA Flynn took a report regarding false personation.  The victim stated he received notification regarding an open account.  The account was opened using his name and a credit card.  The victim stated that he did not open the account and that the credit card used was not his.  Report 110365350

1:40pm          1900 Blk Ocean Ave        Fraudulent Game
PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding a fraud.  The victim stated that a suspect placed an order online for some products.  The suspect paid for the order with four separate checks.  Later, the victim realized that the checks were not from a valid account.  The victim attempted to locate the suspect but was unable to.  Report 110361035

3:58pm          4900 Mission St                   Forged Checks
Officers Johnson and Bernard responded to a report of fraudulent checks.  The victim said a suspect cashed a check and left.  The check was returned as unpaid because it was reported as a stolen check.  Report 110363779

4:30pm          Unit Blk Ora Way                        Vandalism
Officer Preston responded to a report of a theft.  The manager of the building reported that several of the mailboxes had been found open but he was unsure if anything was taken.  The mailman also reported that his master key did not work on one of the mailboxes because there was a broken piece of metal in the keyhole.  Report 110364750

11:35pm        Unit Blk Blythdale Ave   Breaking Windows
Officers Seavey and Antonian responded to a report of shots fired.  The victim said she heard several loud bangs that she thought were gunshots.  She later discovered her downstairs living room window was broken.  She also found a large piece of cement in her living room that appeared to have broken her window.  Report 110365833
