Arrests:

8:15am           1000 Blk Cayuga Ave                   Narcotics
Officers Aslam and Marino responded to a call of a person in possession of narcotics.  The officers contacted the suspect who possessed a plastic container that had suspected marijuana inside.  The suspect was cited for possession.  Report 110303429

11:02am         3300 Blk Mission St                      Narcotics Sgt. Escobar and Officers Preston, Pai, Araujo, Campion-Healy, Goldsborough and Hornstein responded to a call of a person with a gun.  Upon arrival, they contacted a suspect who fit the description and happened to be on active parole.  A search revealed the suspect was in possession of a “starter” gun, used for sporting events.  The “starter” gun looked like an authentic handgun.  The suspect was also in possession of narcotics paraphernalia and subsequently arrested.  Report 110306780

12:45pm         400 Blk Raymond St                         Battery
Officer Ocreto responded to a report of a battery.  The victim was punched in the face by the suspect following an argument.  The victim wanted to press charges.  Report 110370255

2:20pm          400 Blk Raymond St                            Theft 
Officer Aslam responded to assist Officer Ocreto regarding a battery.  The officers viewed a video tape that clearly showed a suspect taking a pair of pants and a belt from an office.  Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the pants did not belong to the suspect.  The officers located the suspect and cited him for theft.  Report 110307346

5:30pm         600 Blk Banks St                            Narcotics
Sgt. Rainsford and Officers Hauscarriague and Almaguer were on patrol when they recognized a suspect they knew from prior police contacts.  The suspect was on probation.  A search of the suspect and his residence revealed narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia.  The suspect was taken into custody.  Report 110307877 ***BEST ARREST OF THE DAY***

Officers Hermosura and Contreras responded to a report of a robbery.  The victims were walking home from work when they were approached by two suspects who demanded they hand over their belongings.  The victims feared for their safety and complied.  The suspects fled.  Report 110305732

2:06am        100 Blk Blythdale Ave                      Shooting Officers Kneuker and Polovina responded to a call of shots fired.  The officers contacted a victim from a vehicle the was struck several times with bullets.  The victim was not injured.  The victim stated he did not see where the shots were being fired from.  Report 110305986

11:35am      5500 Blk Mission St                             Battery
Officer Padilla responded to a report of a battery.  The officer contacted one woman.  She stated she was pushed by another woman.  The officer contacted the second woman who told him she was pushed by the other woman.  Neither party wanted to press charges and there were no witnesses to the incident. 11:43am     Hearst/Detroit Sts                           Dog attack
Officer Campion-Healy responded to a call of a dog attack.  The officer contacted a man who stated he was walking his dog when he saw German Shepard dog barking at them from inside a residence.  The window of the residence was broken.  The German Shepard jumped through the broken window and began to chase him and his dog.  The German Shepard bit his dog, causing two puncture wounds.  Animal Care and Control responded to the scene to take custody of the German Shepard.  Report 110306956

3:00pm       400 Blk Ellsworth               False Personation
PSA Flynn took a report from a victim of false personation. The victim said she began getting notices from more than one rental car company that she was late returning her rental and that they were going to report the cars stolen.  The victim claimed she had never rented any cars.  The victim had left her driver’s license at her gym several months prior, but when she went to retrieve it, they didn’t have it anymore and never reported it missing.  Report 110307421

Officer Najarro responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim told the officer that his vehicle’s tail lights had been removed from the vehicle and the ignition wires were cut.  Report 110306188

6:57pm      5000 Blk Mission St                               Battery
Officers Gomez and Hom responded to a report of a battery.  The victim said he was walking home from having pizza when three suspects approached him.  The suspects punched the victim multiple times and fled. Report 110308087

PSA Flynn took a report involving a vandalism.  The victim stated that the windshield was smashed and the driver’s side mirror was damaged on his vehicle.  Report 110308673
