Arrests:

12:13 am       3500 blk Mission                 Stolen Auto Arrest
Officers Sugitan and Contreras responded on well-being check on a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle.  The officers found that the engine was running and the driver was unresponsive.  The officer ran the license plate and found that the vehicle was reported stolen two weeks prior.  The officers were eventually able to arouse the driver and then they took him into custody.  The vehicle owner responded to the scene and told the officers that the large amount of property in the vehicle did not belong to her.  The officers booked the property for safekeeping.  The property included a surf board and other items that are likely stolen in other incidents.  The suspect was found to have no bail warrant for his arrest.  He was taken to Ingleside Station where he was positively identified and then booked .  Report number 101077023

03:13 am       900 blk Delano                    Stolen Auto Arrest
Officers Chu and Jones responded to a call of an auto boost in progress.  Officers Khan and Reyes arrived first and detained two men who fit the suspect description provided.  The officers found that the suspect who was seated in the drivers’ seat was wearing gloves on his hands and a second suspect was standing to the side of the vehicle at an open door.  The owner of the vehicle was contacted and told the officers that he did not know the suspects and did not give them permission to enter the vehicle or drive it away.  The officers took the suspect into custody.  One of the suspects was a juvenile.  He was cited and released to his guardian.  The other suspect was an adult and he was booked at County Jail.  Report number 101118279

Officers Lim and Androvich responded to a fight call.  The officers located the victim who was bleeding from his face.  The victim told the officers that he was approached by four African American males who attempted to rob him of his cell phone by punching him on the face and head.  The victim was able to get up and run from the scene.  Officers Pereira and Salcedo located and detained four men who matched the suspects’ description.  The victim viewed the detained subjects and positively identified them.  One suspect was later determined to have been uninvolved in the attack and attempted robbery. He was released.  Two of the suspects were juveniles and were therefore booked at the Juvenile Justice Center.  The third suspect was an adult and was therefore booked at Ingleside Station.  Report number 101120478

Officers Rand and Muro responded to a burglary call at a restaurant.  The officers met with the business owner who had locked up the restaurant at 1:30 am and returned at 09:30 am to find that a sliding glass door had been forced open and that the cash registers were emptied.  The victim also found that the liquor storage area of the restaurant had been entered and that numerous bottles of liquor had been stolen.  The victim viewed the surveillance camera recordings with the officers and determined that the crime occurred at the above time.  Report number 101118592

04:00 am       Sunnydale/Rutland            Vandalism to Vehicle
Officers Naval and Morrow responded to a vandalism call.  The officers met with the victim who stated that his vehicle windshield was smashed and the drivers’ side of the vehicle damaged by and unknown suspect while the vehicle was parked, locked and unattended.  The victim stated that he had a parking dispute with an unknown male the previous day.  Report number 101118570

05:00 am       700 blk Portola                    Burglary, Hot Prowl, Unlawful
Officer Padilla responded to a hot prowl burglary in progress call.  The officer met with the victims, all young adult women, two of which had been pepper sprayed by the suspect.  The victims stated that they were all asleep in their home when the suspect entered one of the victims’ bedroom and pepper sprayed her then searched her room for money.  The suspect stole the victims’ purse and cell phone from the room.  The suspect then entered another victims’ bedroom and sprayed her as well then stole her purse.  Hearing the commotion, one of the roommates ran from the house with her cell phone and called 911.  While on the phone with the dispatcher she saw the suspect run from the back of the house.  A fourth roommate slept through the event as she was asleep in the very rear of the apartment.  The area was searched for the suspect to no avail.  The suspect was described as an African American male, 27-30 years old, 6’0, 230 lbs, wearing a black sport coat and black jeans.  The pepper spray used may have been in the victims mail box as one of the victims had ordered some to be delivered to the home.  Subsequent investigation conducted by Officers Rosiak and Trujillo resulted in some property being recovered as well as other investigative information.  Report number 101118401

A business owner in the small commercial district observed a suspicious man seated on a bench near another business.  The witness heard the alarm sound on that business while he was parking his vehicle.  The witness then saw the same man exit the business, ducking under the push bar on the door through the broken glass pane.  The witness called for the police and notified the business owner who then responded to the scene.  There was no vehicle seen and the loss was of cash.  Suspect description: African American male, 28-38 years old, 5’11, 180 lbs, wearing a dark jean jacket, blue jeans, clean cut. 12:00 pm       Naples/Excelsior                Robbery w/ Force
A sixty one year old woman was pushed down from behind and her purse stolen by three Hispanic males.  PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared the report at Ingleside Station as the victim walked there after the attack.  She suffered a sore knee.  The suspects were all described similarly other than the main suspect was 6’0, while the other two were about 5’5.  They were all described as wearing dark hooded jackets, dark colored jeans and having shaved heads. Officer Contreras responded to a burglary call.  The officer met with the victim who stated that he returned to his home, which he left secured, to find that the back door had been forced open and his laptop computer stolen from the kitchen.  Report number 101120531

08:40 pm       100 blk Cross                      Dog Bite Report
Officer Lim responded to a dog bite call and met with the reportees.  The reportee stated that while walking her two small dogs the gate to a home was opened by the resident to park a vehicle.  A pit bull dog ran from the area and bit the reportees’ dog two times before the owner gained control of the animal.  The victim dog suffered only bruising, but when the reportee went to the home of the suspect dog, no one would answer the door. The matter will be referred to Animal Care and Control. Report number 101122612

10:40 pm       Mission/Brazil                     Robbery, Street, w/ Force
Officer Lundy responded to a robbery call.  The victim stated that he was beaten and robbed by a tall, thin African American woman in her 30’s and two Hispanic males in their 30’s.  He stated that he was passing by the suspects on the sidewalk when one of them said something to him.  Suddenly they began to beat him, knocking him to the ground and then kicking him in the head and face.  One of the suspects stole the victims wallet during the attack.  The suspects then ran away on Brazil toward Mission.  The victim suffered bumps and bruises.  Several individuals were detained by other responding officers.  These individuals were viewed by the victim who stated that they were not involved.  Report number 101120666
