Serious Incidents:

12:42pm     400 Blk. Geneva                       Robbery

Witnesses, driving past the Balboa Park BART Station, called police to report two, possibly, three men attacking a pedestrian near the north on-ramp to Highway #280. Ingleside Officers Leung and Zandanel were the first to arrive and found the victim with a knife wound to his hand. He said he was walking south on Geneva when an unknown subject walked up to him holding a knife. The suspect tried to stab the victim while grabbing the victim’s cellphone from his pocket. The victim tried to ward off the attack with his hand. Once the suspect gained control of the victim’s property he ran to a waiting vehicle, occupied by two other men, and sped away. 1:45pm       1700 Felton Street                   Aggravated Assault

A cashed $5000 tax refund check. A picture of the tax recipient holding the cash on a social network site. Then a shooting and a serious gunshot wound. That was three acts of a tragic play on the 1700 block of Felton. The victim, after posting the pictures, was sitting in his car parked in front of his home. Suspects, driving a Green Audi, pulled up and fired three shots at the victim who was able to bail out of his car and ran into his home bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound to his right arm. He was driven to the hospital by his wife where surgeons quickly saved his life. Report number: 180160817

5:13pm       Mission & Valencia                Aggravated Assault

Ingleside Officers Quinlan and Freed were flagged down by pedestrians who said there was a man bleeding on the #14Muni bus stopped at the corner. Inside the officers found a victim sitting in the back of the bus bleeding from his nose and lips. The officers summoned medical help. Witnesses said the passenger got into a verbal dispute with two other passengers who suddenly punched him in the face before exiting the bus. Report number: 180161423

11:57pm     Morse & Newton                    Robbery w/knife

A man walking home from the store was suddenly attacked by two suspects. The victim told Ingleside Officers Zhao and Fogarty that he was walking, playing a video game and wearing earbuds, when he was suddenly punched from behind by two suspects. He fell to the ground and momentarily lost consciousness. When he awoke, his cash was missing. He walked back to the store and had a clerk call police. Medical personnel arrived and determined he had also been stabbed in the arm. The victim was transported to San Francisco General for treatment. Report number: 180162459

12:02 pm    200 Blk. Judson                      Narcotics

A man passed out at the wheel of his parked Jaguar caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Peralta and Harper. The officers went over to the driver’s side window, which was rolled down, and shook the suspect who immediately woke up. Next to him was a “bindle” of methamphetamine. A computer check revealed he had no outstanding warrants, although he did have a criminal record. He was cited for the illegal possession of narcotics and was released at the scene. 5:00pm       300 Blk. Silver                        Warrants Arrest

A woman decided to climb a crane at a fenced construction site to “look at the scenery”. The security guard at the site called police and Ingleside Officers Quinlan and Freed quickly arrived as the suspect was climbing down the equipment. She was detained for trespassing and a warrant check revealed that she was wanted on a $10,000 warrant from San Mateo County for narcotics violations. A search of her purse revealed a pair of illegal “brass knuckles”. She was transported to the County Jail and booked for the warrants, trespassing, and possession of metal knuckles. 1:06am       Mission & Concord                  Robbery

Ingleside Officers Zahn and Tang were dispatched to a report of a street robbery. When they arrived the victim told the officers he was walking south on Mission when he heard footsteps running behind him. He turned around and saw two men wearing ski masks. They demanded his cell phone and backpack then quickly turned and ran and got into a waiting vehicle across the street, which sped away. Report number: 180156537

5:04am       3200 Blk. Folsom                      Burglary

A report of burglars attempting to break into a building sent Ingleside Officers George and Parker to investigate. Witnesses told the officers that two men went from a rental truck to the building and tried to break into the facility. The officers interviewed the witness who refused to identify the two suspects for fear of retaliation. But, the officers ran a computer check of both suspects and one of them had an outstanding burglary warrant for his arrest. He was placed in custody and driven to Ingleside Station for booking. 3:54pm       San Jose & Baden                    Theft

One alert officer spotted a suspected package thief walking down the street. Ingleside Officer Lee saw the man wanted for taking a package from an address on the 100 block of Baltimore. The suspect was arrested and admitted to taking the package because it “contained sandals” that he wanted. He was cited for the petty theft and released. Report number: 180150062

1:58pm       100 Blk. Rolph                         Robbery

A woman walking east on Rolph Street was approached by a man walking west. She told Ingleside Officers Johnson and Peregrina that as the man passed her he suddenly grabbed her purse from around her shoulders. The move yanked the victim to the ground and the suspect took off with her property. She declined medical attention and told the officers her purse contained a wallet, bank cards, cash, and her driver’s license. Report number: 180155131

3:15pm       200 Blk. Leland                       Theft

Another woman walking down the street also had her purse taken by a thief. The victim told Ingleside Officer Fazli and Sgt. Ly that a suspect suddenly approached her and grabbed her purse which was resting on top of belongings in a shopping cart. The suspect then ran to a waiting vehicle which sped away. The loss was cash, medical insurance cards, keys, and identification. Report number: 180155294

9:32pm       900 Blk. Ellsworth        Investigative Detention

Ingleside Officers Seavey, Jensen, Barajas, and Lee were on routine patrol when they spotted a man they knew pretty well from previous contacts. The subject was sitting in an older Audi with paper plates. Curious about spotting an older car with paper plates, the officers decided to stop and talk with the subject. A computer check revealed the Audi had plates belonging to a salvaged Toyota Camry. The subject was cited for the violation and released at the scene and the Audi was moved off the street and parked in a legal parking space. Report number: 180153511

9:30pm       Mission & Prentiss                 Aggravated Assault

A call about a kidnapping sent Ingleside Officers Cagney and Mroz to investigate. When they arrived on scene they found a crying woman and a man next to his crashed car. The woman said the suspect used a gun to threaten her and, while driving, crashed his car. The officers searched the suspect and found a handgun hidden on his body. He was arrested and booked for aggravated assault. The woman was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Report number: 180150846

3:30Pm       Unit Blk. Arleta                      Robbery

A homeowner opening his garage door was suddenly confronted by a suspect. The victim told Ingleside Officers Ocreto and Wong that the suspect grabbed the garage door keys from the lock and ran away. The victim chased the suspect for a short distance until the suspect stopped, turned around, and punched the victim in the face. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect continued his escape. 12:26am     Moscow & France                  Discharging of a Firearm

A report of shots fired prompted dispatch to send Ingleside Officers Anderson and Parker to investigate. The officers found three fired cartridge casings in the parking lot near the baseball field. The officers did not discover any damage to vehicles or buildings in the area. Report number: 180146118

2:35am       Silliman & Valmar Ter           Discharging of a Firearm

Another group of officers was dispatched to a report of another shots fired call. Officers Mroz, Cagney, and Sgt. Hoang were dispatched to the area and found several .40 caliber and 380 caliber cartridge casing in the 1800 block of Silliman. The officers did not find any vehicles or buildings damaged. Witnesses told the officers about the occupant of a silver SUV firing a gun out the window a short time before they arrived on scene. Report number: 180146180

3:15am       Unit Blk. Ridgewood              Hot Prowl Burglary

A homeowner was awakened by a loud “bang’ and the barking of his dogs. He told Ingleside Officers Parker and Anderson that he went downstairs and found his kitchen door and breezeway door open and a laptop and cellphones missing from the kitchen. The victim told the officers that he left both doors unlocked when he went to bed earlier that evening. Report number: 180146287

9:08pm       600 Blk. Monterey                 Robbery

A liquor store clerk called police to report a robbery. The victim told Ingleside Sgt. Hoang and Officer Park that he was helping other customers when an unknown man, carrying a shotgun, walked up to the counter and demanded cash. The clerk complied and gave the suspect the contents of the cash register. Report number: 180148255

9:06am       Unit Blk. Holly Park                 Threats

A woman walking her dog was suddenly confronted by a man running towards her and threatening to stab her. The victim told Ingleside Officers Alejandrino and Allen that other dog walkers in the area came to her aid as the suspect ran away to a nearby home. The officers learned from other park goers that the suspect had permission to sleep behind a nearby residence. The officers went to the address and arrested the suspect for terrorist threats. A computer check revealed the suspect was also a registered sex offender who had failed to notify his new address as required by law. Report number: 180144009

4:25pm       Velasco & Santos                      Aggravated Assault

Ingleside Officers Mora, Carew, Lustenberger, and Archilla traveled to San Francisco General Hospital to interview a gunshot victim who was being treated in the emergency room. The victim told the officers that he exited a #8 Muni bus at Santos and Velasco Streets and was standing on the 100 block of Santos Street when an unknown man, wearing a ski mask and hooded sweatshirt, walked up to him. The victim said the suspect pulled out a gun and the victim started running away. During his escape he heard 4 gunshots and felt a burning sensation in his left thigh. He had friends drive him to the hospital for treatment. Report number: 180145461

4:37pm       Trumbull & Craut                    Investigative Detention

An older Chevy Impala parked in the fire lane caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Dungca and Calupad. A check of the license plates revealed a felony want for the car from the Contra Costa County Sheriff. It was wanted for possibly being involved in home burglary in Lafayette. The officers removed the two occupants and, after checking with Lafayette investigators, released them at the scene. The Impala was towed to impound at their request. Report number: 180145251

6:32pm       500 Blk. Precita                        Robbery

Two restaurant customers were sitting at a table and one of them had placed her purse on a windowsill by the table. The women told Ingleside Officers Marshall and Park that two men walked into the restaurant and one of the men, seeing the purse, reached across the table and took the purse. One of the women grabbed the purse and during the struggle, the suspect fell to the floor. The suspect quickly got to his feet and, with the help of the other suspect, ran out of the restaurant and to a waiting vehicle that sped away. The loss was a wallet, driver’s license, cellphone, tablet, and keys to her home and vehicle. Report number: 180145609

7:59pm       1600 Blk. Cortland                   Robbery

Ingleside Officers Marshall and Park were back on patrol from the above event when dispatch sent them to an address on the 1600 block of Cortland. When they arrived they found a male victim lying on the ground bleeding from his head. Medical personnel were there treating his injuries. His brother told the officers he and his injured sibling were working in the shop when they heard a loud noise outside. His brother went to investigate and when he went outside his brother was injured and lying on the ground. The victim said two unknown men struck him in the head and kicked him in the abdomen several times before taking his wallet and a bag of currency from his car. Report number: 180145756
