Arrests:

7:56pm       Crescent/Gates              Narcotics

Officers Uang and Barajas were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with a failed brake light.  They affected a traffic stop and identified the driver and the passenger.  A record check revealed the driver’s license was and the passenger was on active probation.  Both suspects were taken out of the vehicle while a probation search was performed.  The officers located several plastic baggies containing what they believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as several glass pipes.  The vehicle was towed to Auto Return and both suspects transported to Ingleside station.  A presumptive tests of the narcotics returned positive and both were booked accordingly.  All evidence was seized and booked.  The narcotics were hand delivered to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice.  Report number 120708712

11:57pm     Bayshore/Sunnydale    Stolen Vehicle

Officers Antonian and Quintero were dispatched to a possible stolen vehicle.  Officers located the vehicle which was travelling on Bayshore without a rear license plate.  They affected a traffic stop and contacted the driver who told them that she had just purchased the vehicle and did not know where the paperwork was.  A record check revealed the driver’s license was suspended and the vehicle stolen.  The vehicle was towed to Auto Return as the owner was unable to pick it up.  The owner advised that her dog was also in the vehicle.  The officers located the dog and had Animal Care and Control respond and take custody of it.

The suspects were transported to Ingleside Station where their identity was confirmed.  The driver was booked accordingly and the passenger was issued a Certificate of Release.  Report number 120708132

A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Cato that he observed several checks fraudulently posted on his checking account made payable to two suspects.  The victim provided all suspect information to the PSA who provided him with Identity Theft Information.

Officers Ferronato and Anderson were sent to a robbery call.  The victim advised that a suspect had approached him when he was walking near the ATM, knocked him down and punched him repeatedly.  The suspect then pointed a black handgun at the victim, emptied his pockets and fled down Mission with another suspect.  The victim said he was not injured and could not identify the suspects.  Officers searched the area for any surveillance cameras in the area but could not locate any.  Report number 120706051

Arrests:

2:20am       200 Blk Moultrie          Narcotics

Officers Hurwitz and Johnson were surveilling an area where a rash of vehicle thefts had occurred.  They were aware that a certain suspect who had an outstanding felony warrant resided in the area.  While recovering three stolen vehicles in the area they came into contact with the wanted suspect.  He began evading them and attempting to run away.  The officers began chasing him and caught up to him shortly thereafter.  He was taken into custody for the warrant. 

An arrest search of his person located a clear plastic bag containing a white crystallized substance believed to be methamphetamine.  In a backpack he was carrying, the officers located several burglary tools known to be used to break into vehicles and numerous cellular phones.  He was transported to Ingleside station where the narcotics tested positive for methamphetamine.  An owner of one of the cellular phones was located.  She told the officers that the cellular phone belonged to her and confirmed that it was stolen.  The suspect was booked for narcotics, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property.  Report number 120704845

Officers Uang and Trail were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing Projects when a victim approached them to make a report of a robbery.  The victim told them that he exited a MUNI bus and was walking down Velasco when a male grabbed his cellular phone from his hand and fled up a path between Velasco and Blythdale.  The victim chased the suspect, but lost him in the area.  The victim was not injured and refused medical assistance.  He said that he would not be able to recognize the suspect.  The officers ordered a copy of the MUNI surveillance video.  Report number 120705150

Arrests:

2:19am       Alemany/San Juan       Narcotics/DUI

Officer Crispin was on patrol when he observed a vehicle swerving and repeatedly drifting to the left.  He affected a traffic stop and noticed the driver’s speech was slurred, he was sweating and his pupils were dilated.  He asked the driver to exit the vehicle and the driver stumbled as he exited.  The driver agreed to take various field sobriety tests, which he failed.  He signed a consent to search form for the officer to search his vehicle.  The officer located several prescription pills/bottles which he seized as evidence.

The suspect was transported to Mission Police Station where a phlebotomist responded to draw blood.  The suspect also requested a breath test which the officer conducted.  All results were placed in their proper envelopes and hand delivered to the Hall of Justice.  The suspect was booked for driving under the influence.  Report number 120700978

2:13pm       2400 Blk Bayshore       Warrant

Officer Burke and several other Ingleside officers responded to an area in search of a known suspect with an outstanding no bail warrant.  They located the suspect on a staircase near the address where he resides. He was taken into custody without incident.  Report number 120701904

Officer Contreras and several other Ingleside officers responded to a shots fired call.  They met with several reportees who stated that they heard several pops but did not see anything when they walked outside.  Officers were able to locate gunshot damage to several addresses which they photographed as evidence.  No gunshot victims were located and no one at the scene appeared injured.  Officers collected bullet fragments and booked them into evidence.  Report number 120700649

Officer Apodaca and several other Ingleside officers were dispatched to investigate a shots fired call.  They met with several victims who all stated they heard shots but did not see anyone do the firing.  The officers located bullet holes in several of the homes, as well as shell casings in the parking lot areas.  They took pictures of the damage and collected all items as evidence.  Officers canvassed the area for any other victims to no avail.  None of the reportees were injured and all were provided with follow up information.  Report number 120700768

Officer Gomez was sent to investigate a robbery.  He spoke with the victim who said he was standing on the corner when a male approached him and yanked a few chains from his neck.  The male then ran down Onondaga.  The victim was not injured and said he could not identify the suspect.  Officers searched the area for anyone matching the suspect description to no avail.

Arrests:

4:50am       400 Blk Monterey         Burglary

Officer Dominguez and several other Ingleside officers responded to a burglary in progress.  Dispatch had provided a description of the suspects as well as the vehicle they were driving.  The officers observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and in the opposite direction of traffic.  The vehicle matched the description of the suspect vehicle.  The officers caught up to the vehicle and when it was safe to do so, affected a traffic stop.  A record check of the vehicle returned stolen and the license plate on the vehicle was also stolen and did not belong to the vehicle.  The suspects were detained until the officers met with the reportees.

The 911 caller told the officers that he observed a male and a female removing items from a home that he knew they did not reside in.  When he confronted the suspects, they put some items on the sidewalk, boarded their vehicle and drove off.  A cold show was conducted where the reportee positively identified the two individuals as the ones that had been removing the items.  Both suspects were taken into custody.

Officers contacted the resident of the home where items were being removed and he identified some of the items recovered as his.  A record check of one of the suspects revealed she was on active probation.  An arrest search located suspected heroin in one of her pockets.  Both suspects were transported to Ingleside station where they were positively identified and booked into custody.

The vehicle was released to its proper owner at the scene.  Report Number 120698414

4:30pm       2400 Blk Bayshore       Narcotics

Officer Johnson and several other Ingleside officers responded to an address where a known suspect with an active warrant resided.  They were unable to locate the suspect, but detained an individual who was loitering in the front area.  A record check revealed the individual to have several active warrants.  An arrest search located a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.  The suspect was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  A presumptive test of the substance returned positive for narcotics.  The suspect was booked for the warrants and possession of narcotics.  The narcotics were hand carried to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice.  Report number 120699553

Officers Sugitan and Fung responded to an assault with a stun gun.  The victims advised that they were waiting for the bus when a male came from behind and stunned them on the neck area.  The suspect then boarded a vehicle which fled down Schwerin.  Both victims said they were not injured and refused medical assistance.  They would not be able to identify the suspect.  Officers searched the area for the suspect vehicle to no avail.  Report number 120699070

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told Officer Ocreto that her computer had been hacked into and several files deleted.  She provided the name of an individual who was using an alias name as the person who had committed the crime.  She wanted the incident documented because she stated that in the past she has had the same problem with an individual with the same name.  Report Number 120699757

Officer Hurwitz was patrolling an area where a known suspect frequents.  The officer was aware that he had a warrant for his arrest.  She located the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident.  Report Number 120696333

5:58pm       600 Blk Campbell         Battery

Officers Paras and Shugars responded to an argument where two females had been in a physical altercation.  Both females stated that they were arguing and that they each had engaged in mutual combat.  Both insisted on signing citizen’s arrests against each other and both were cited and released at the scene.  Report Number 120697159

Officers Morrow and Naval responded to an assault.  They met with the driver of a MUNI bus who told them that he was driving and merged into another lane to pass a double parked UPS truck.  When he came to a red light, a vehicle pulled up alongside of him and began yelling obscenities and throwing things at the bus.  The suspect also threatened the bus driver.  Noone was injured and there were no other suspects or witnesses.  The officers were provided with the plate number of the suspect vehicle and they searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.  They ordered a copy of MUNI’s surveillance video and took photos of the bus for evidence.  Report Number 120695915

4:24pm       5100 Blk Mission          Battery

Officers Paras and Shugars were dispatched to a battery.  Both parties were on scene and had visible injuries.  An ambulance was summoned to provide aid.  One of the parties stated that he heard the other party yelling and tried to ignore it.  The suspect then approached him and began yelling and threatening him.  The victim backed up and punched the suspect.  The victim insisted on filing a citizen’s arrest and the other party refused.  The second suspect was cited and released at the scene.  Officers requested a copy of the bank’s surveillance tape.  Report Number 120696731

5:29pm       1000 Blk Mansell          Robbery

Officer Benavidez and several other officers responded to McClaren Park regarding a robbery.  The four victims advised that they were sitting in the park when three male suspects approached them and asked them what they were doing.  Two of the suspects pointed guns at the victims and began hitting them on their heads with the guns.  The suspects told them to “give up their valuables.”  The victims emptied their pockets and the suspects fled down a path.  The victims all said they could identify the suspects if they saw them again.  Officers searched the area unsuccessfully for them.  Pictures of the victims’ injuries were taken and booked into evidence.  An ambulance was summoned to the scene and two of the victims were transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Report Number 120697052

SFCCPD Officer Boyko was on station duty when a victim came to report a robbery attempt.  The victim said he was walking on the campus when a male approached him and began pulling on his backpack. The victim resisted for several minutes and the male punched him in the face and left the area.  The victim said he would seek his own medical and said he could positively identify the suspect.  Report Number 120695943

Officer Hom and several other Ingleside officers responded to a robbery with a gun.  The victim advised that she was working at the cash register when two males entered the store.  One of the males ordered food and said he was going to pay with a credit card.  He then pointed a gun at her and told her to give him money.  The other suspect walked around and rummaged through her purse.  The suspects grabbed the money the cashier gave them and ran out of the store, boarded a vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.  The victim was able to provide the officers with a description of the suspects and the suspect vehicle.  Officers searched the area unsuccessfully for them. Arrests:

3:15pm       200 Blk 27^th Street        Theft

Officers Sugitan and Fung responded to a call regarding a theft. The officers met with a witness who stated she had seen the suspect rummaging through some garbage cans, and then proceed to open a UPS package and place the contents into his shopping cart. Officers Altamirano and Thompson detained a suspect matching the description. A Cold Show was conducted and the suspect was positively identified. Officers located the contents of the UPS package and returned them to the victim. Officer Sugitan took photos of the package contents and booked it as evidence at Ingleside Station. An SFPD translator helped explain to the suspect that he has a pending court appearance, and the suspect was cited and released at Ingleside Station. Officer Fung booked all evidence at Ingleside Station. Report Number 120693107

6:27pm       Brazil/Athens                False Impersonation

Officer Bernard was on patrol when he spotted a vehicle with registration tags that expired in July 2012. A record check showed that the vehicle registration had actually expired in July 2011. The suspect informed the officer that he was aware his vehicle had expired a year ago, but it was only being used to transport his children to school. The officer cited the suspect and seized the false “2012” registration sticker from the license plate. All evidence was booked at Ingleside Station. Report Number 120693787

Officers Khan and Dilag responded to a call regarding a theft. The victim informed the officers that he had left for a camping trip and upon returning home he realized his bicycle had been stolen. Civilian Police Service Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi was working station duty when a victim came in to file a report of a theft. The victim stated he had a known suspect over for a visit and had his wallet sitting on a table. After the suspect left, the victim noticed his wallet was missing. The victim was given a Marcy’s Card and a Follow Up Form. Report Number 120688619

Civilian Police Service Aide Flynn was working station duty when a victim came in to file a report of an auto boost. The victim stated that he parked and locked his vehicle and upon returning the next day he noticed his window had been popped out and there was money missing from the center console. The victim did not see any suspects near his vehicle nor give anybody permission to enter his vehicle. The victim was given a Follow Up Form, Victims of Violent Crime Card, a Marcy’s Resource Card and an Additional Loss Form. Report Number 120693088

A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Heckenberg that someone had opened up an account at AT&T in his name without his permission.  He had no suspect information and wanted the incident documented.  Report Number 120692325

4:15pm       1800 Blk Alemany        Theft

A victim came to Ingleside Station and told PSA Flynn that she was unloading boxes from her vehicle which she left unlocked for a short amount of time.  When she returned to continue unloading things, she found various items missing.  Report Number 120693157

5:20pm       Cora/Leland                 Dog Bite

Officers Shugars and Paras were sent to investigate a dog attack.  The victim stated that she was walking down the street when a small dog ran up to her and bit her left calf area.  She responded to the hospital where she was treated and showed the officers her injury.  She said she wanted the owner of the dog cited and that they had exchanged information at the scene.  The victim signed a citizen’s arrest form and the officers responded to the address provided by the owner of the dog.  The owner was cited for the violation and advised to quarantine the dog for 10 days.  A copy of the report and required documentation was forwarded to Animal Care & Control.  Report Number 120694246

Officers Morse and Almaguer were dispatched to an assault on a MUNI bus.  The victim told them that he was sitting on the bus when a male approached him, punched him in the face without provocation, then walked to the rear of the bus and sat down.  The victim said he could identify the suspect if he saw him again.  Officers requested a copy of the MUNI surveillance video and provided follow up information.  Report Number 120694127

Officer Park responded to an area where there were several auto boosts.  All victims advised that they locked and secured their vehicles and when they returned found shattered windows and several items missing.  Prints were not ascertainable for the officers because the victims had touched any areas where evidence could be collected prior to police arrival.  The officers took pictures of all vehicles and provided additional loss forms to the victims.  Report Number 120688540

Officers Pereira and Cassinelli were on patrol when they assisted in affecting a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to have been involved in a crime.  A record check of the occupants revealed one to have an existing warrant.  The individual was transported to Ingleside station and booked upon confirmation of the warrant.  Report number 120684924

SFCCPD Officer Burlyga was patrolling the campus when he detained an individual who was loitering in an area known for drug use.  A record check revealed the individual had an outstanding warrant.  He was taken into custody without incident.  Report number 120683647

6:40pm       4000 Blk Mission          DUI

Officer Preston was on patrol when he observed a vehicle travelling recklessly and at a high rate of speed.  He affected a traffic stop and identified the driver.  The driver had a strong odor of alcohol on her person and her speech was slurry.  Officer Preston assisted her in exiting the vehicle and asked her to submit to field sobriety tests.  The driver agreed.  She failed all three sobriety tests and was transported to Mission Police Station where she was unable to satisfactorily complete a breath test.  A phlebotomist was therefore requested to draw blood.  The blood was retrieved from the phlebotomist and booked accordingly.  At the instruction of Sgt. Maron, the suspect was booked at the county jail for driving under the influence.  Report number 120690595

Officers Gabriel and Apodaca were sent to investigate counterfeit money.  The clerk of the store advised them that a customer purchased cigarettes with what he believed was a counterfeit bill.  The clerk said he could identify the suspect and that he frequents the store.  Officers ordered a copy of the surveillance video and notified the Secret Service of the incident.  Report number 120691571

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Flynn that he was walking down the street when a small dog ran out of a garage and bit him.  The victim said the owner of the dog apologized and provided him with all necessary information.  The victim wanted the incident documented.  Report number 120689651
