Arrests:
4:45pm 900 Chenery St. D.U.I
A
school official called police worried about the welfare of three students. She
told Ingleside Officers Tom and Mroz that a woman has showed up intoxicated to
pick up her children after school. It wasn’t the first time it happened. Officers
Tom and Mroz attempted to stop the woman, but she was able to drive away before
they could confront her. The school official gave the officers the parent’s
address on Winding Way and the officers, along with other Ingleside units,
found the woman driving toward home on Drake Street. They stopped her vehicle
and asked her to take a roadside sobriety test. She failed the test. A
breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit. She was
arrested and driven to the county jail for booking. A family friend arrived and
picked the suspect’s children and drove them home. Report number: 170887708
11:54pm Brookdale & Blythdale D.U.I
Ingleside
Officers Cortez and Trumpp were dispatched to a report of a traffic collision. When
they arrived they found one car had collided with another vehicle. The driver
of the first vehicle was standing next to his car. His eyes were bloodshot and
he told the officers that he had drank two mixed vodka drinks approximately and
hour before the collision. He asked the officers to arrest him. The officers
told the suspect that they had to give him a roadside sobriety and other tests
before they could arrest him. The roadside sobriety proved that he was
inebriated. The breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of almost
three times the legal limit. He was placed in custody and booked at the county
jail. Report number: 170888659

foot. He told the officers he didn’t know who shot him or where the gunshots were coming
