The
sound of a car alarm caught the attention of a resident who went to her living
room window and saw an unknown man breaking vehicle windows and reaching inside
looking at contents. She called police at about the same time another homeowner
noticed the same suspect trying to break into his Chevy Suburban. That
resident, using his remote, flashed the Suburban’s lights, which scared the
suspect away. The victim then went outside and took a baseball bat out of the
Suburban’s trunk and waited for police to arrive. Ingleside Officers Anderson,
Zhao, Mc Milton, and Cortez-Cendejas arrived and placed the suspect in custody.
He was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for malicious mischief vandalism.

A
resident of an apartment building heard the building’s fire alarm and quickly
left his apartment to go outside. On his way outside he noticed flames coming
out the window of another apartment in the building. He dialed 911 and soon
several fire trucks, two hook and ladders, paramedics, and other fire units
were on scene and extinguished the blaze. Ingleside Officers Hoge and Smith
were also on scene to help fire personnel. Fortunately, no one was injured. The
cause of the fire is under investigation. Report number: 170862067
