10:30pm Unit Blk. Bernal Heights Blvd. D.U.I
The
call came into dispatch about a man asleep in a car on Bernal Heights Blvd.
Ingleside Officers Fogarty and Zhao responded and found the driver and his
passenger asleep in the front seat of a Hummer with the engine running. The
officers knocked on the windows several times to wake up the pair. But they
didn’t wake up immediately. Finally the driver woke up and turned off the
engine and then started it again. The officers pleaded with the driver to open
the door. He finally complied. The officers noticed the driver’s eyes were
blood shot and his speech slurred. He failed his roadside sobriety test. The suspect
agreed to a blood alcohol test and was transported to Mission Station for the
exam. After the test the suspect was transported to the Hall of Justice and
booked for DUI. Report number: 170838905
