of San Francisco Burglary
GPS tracking led officers Dedet and Sherry to pursue a stolen
vehicle. It directed them to an address
in Daly City, just outside of the Ingleside District. This particular vehicle had been reported as
involved in a burglary in the Richmond District in addition to other
incidents. The officers spotted the
vehicle, which was occupied by three suspects.
All three exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The suspects ignored officer commands to stop
and initially the officers lost sight of all three. Daly City, Brisbane, and additional SFPD
officers responded to assist in the search.
Suddenly, the three suspects reappeared and again took off running, initiating
a second foot pursuit. Two of the
suspects jumped into another vehicle and attempted to flee. One of the suspects was pulled from the
driver’s side of the vehicle and taken into custody. The second suspect managed to escape and
again attempted to flee on foot.
Officers caught up to the second suspect and took him into custody. The third suspect was lost in the area. Both suspects taken into custody were booked
on numerous felony charges. Report

Officer Fegan decided to check out an area that frequently has
suspicious cars and people hanging out.
He spotted a car parked in a secluded part of a parking lot that was
filled with smoke. It was also missing
it’s rear license plate. The officer
made contact with the subject sitting behind the wheel, who had a marijuana
joint in his hand. A strong odor of
marijuana also emanated from the vehicle.
There was also another subject in the passenger seat of the car. The officer noticed that the passenger was
sitting turned away from him in a suspicious manner, with a cell phone in his
hands. At this time, Officers Trumpp and
Salazar arrived to assist Officer Fegan.
A records check revealed a name similar to the one that the passenger
provided that was on felony probation.
The officers grew suspicious that the passenger had given a false
name. When confronted, the passenger
admitted to his real name and that he was on probation. The officers asked him to exit the
vehicle. When the door opened, Officer
Fegan spotted a handgun in the car.
Officer Fegan seized the handgun, which was loaded, and later found that
it had been reported as stolen. Both the
driver and passenger were booked on felony charges. Report 170609364
