A homeowner asleep woke up to the sound of a horn blaring.
He looked outside and saw a stranger inside his vehicle. He woke up another
resident and told him to call the police while he went outside to confront the
burglar. Officers Zhao, McMilton, Shih, and Coss arrived and placed the suspect
in custody. He told the officers that he got in the car because he was tired.
But the officers found that wasn’t true. The ignition had been hotwired and the
suspect had several stolen items in his possession including a SFMTA ticket
machine and portable ticket printer. He was taken to Ingleside Station and
booked for attempted auto theft and possession of stolen property. Report

Ellsworth Evading
The driver of a Silver Mustang that was wanted for evading
arrest the day before was spotted by Ingleside Officers Malatesta, Filamor, and
Archilla waiting at the stop sign at Alemany and Ellsworth. The officers turned
on their front facing emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle. As
before, the driver took off at a high rate of speed entering southbound #280
