The officers ran the plates which showed they belonged on a Mitsubishi. The officers detained the driver and passenger while they sought more information on the car. They discovered the Corolla was reported stolen in early December. Inside the vehicle they found the ignition wires pulled out and crossed. The driver was arrested for auto theft and other crimes. His passenger told the officer the suspect picked her up at her home on the 300 block of Winding Way and quickly ran out of gas on Mission in the bus zone. She said she didn’t know the car was stolen. Report number: 161000735
