Blk Moscow Firearm Reports of
increased violence and drug activity in and around Crocker-Amazon Park has
prompted stepped up patrols of the park and its surroundings. On this evening,
Ingleside Officers Tweedy and Calupad were on patrol when they spotted an older
Nissan 350z in the park’s Moscow parking lot. The lot is closed to all vehicles
from 10pm to 6am. The officers approached the vehicle and questioned the two
occupants. Both had a quantity of marijuana and the driver had a backpack
nestled between the front seats. The officers asked what was in the backpack
and the driver revealed it contained a handgun. The officers opened the
backpack and found a loaded 9mm Beretta along with several cartridges. The 21
year old owner was cited for possession of a concealed loaded firearm,
ammunition, and for parking illegally in the park. Report number: 150762415

Blk Mission Robbery
A woman and her sister returned to their car in the Safeway
parking lot and were told by a witness that and unknown man had broken into
their car and stolen a backpack before running away south on Mission Street.
The women got in their car and drove south on Mission where they observed the
thief walking with the backpack. The victims yelled at the suspect to surrender
the backpack. Instead, he started to run away. A short time later a DPW
employee, hearing their pleas, ran up to the suspect and tried to wrestle away
the backpack. The suspect dropped the backpack but, at the same time, pulled
out a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the DPW employee. The
employee put up his hands and the suspect then picked up the backpack and
started running away again slowing down once to point the handgun at the two
women victims trailing him in their car. The suspect escaped in an unknown
direction with the backpack containing about $100 in school supplies. Ingleside
Officers Williams, Oryall, and numerous other Ingleside units searched for the
suspect in the surrounding neighborhoods without success. Report number:
