Officers Burke and Imhoff responded to a report of a working 2 alarm house fire on the 100 block of Tucker Avenue. Several Fire trucks and firemen had already arrived and had extinguished the fire before the officers arrived. An arson investigator with the fire department informed Officer Burke that the residence was being used as an illegal Marijuana grow house and that the cause of the fire was the poor electrical wiring that was used to operate the illegal Marijuana operation. Officer Burke walked through the residence and could see that most of the rooms inside the residence were being used to grow the plants, but that most of the plants and equipment had been damaged by the extensive fire. The officers at the scene collected what was left and is still under investigation. The house was empty at the time and no one was injured during the fire. Report Number: 130626201
