Arrests:

7:17am       200 Blk Charter Oak   Stolen Property
Officer Burke and several other Ingleside officers and Sergeants executed a search warrant where they detained two males.  A search of the home located several bicycles believed to be stolen.  They seized all bicycles, tagged them and photographed them.  They also located a large amount of US Currency.  In one of the bedrooms they found indicia indicating one of the males resided in the premises.  He was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  The other male was issued a Certificate of Release and released at the scene.

The officers then responded to a storage facility and showed the employee a copy of the search warrant.  Various bicycles and bicycle parts were also located there.  The officers seized all of these items as well.

At Ingleside station, Sgt. Kumli read the suspect his Miranda rights and he said he understood and wanted to speak with him.  He admitted that some of the items were stolen.  He was issued a property receipt for all items seized and was booked accordingly.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station and the SFPD bicycle storage locker.  Report 120391000  **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY!!***

7:27pm       Unit Blk Stoneyford     Stolen Vehicle
Officers Barajas and Almaguer were on patrol when their vehicle’s License Plate Reader activated and provided them with the license plate of the stolen vehicle.  They located the vehicle, confirmed with dispatch it was stolen, and requested other units.  Several other Ingleside units responded to the scene.  They affected a traffic stop and detained both occupants.  Both were transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  The vehicle was towed to Auto Return at the request of the registered owner.

At Ingleside station, both suspects were given their Miranda rights, said they understood them, and spoke with the officers.  The driver admitted his friend had given him the vehicle and that he knew it was through illegitimate means.  At the instruction of Sgt. Weggemann, the driver was booked at Ingleside station.  The passenger was issued a Certificate of Release and released from the station.  Report 120361809

Other incidents:  

6:45am       700 Blk Duncan            Burglary
Officers Khan and Dilag were dispatched to a burglary.  The victim advised that he locked and secured his home and when he returned found the front gate open and the front door unlocked.  He said several items were missing and others had been moved.  The officers could locate no sign of forced entry into the premises or any possible fingerprint evidence.  They provided the victim with an additional loss form and follow up information.

8:30am       100 Blk 29th                  Att. Burglary
Officer Morgante responded to investigate a possible burglary.  The victim advised that he left and secured his home and when he returned found the door handle broken.  He advised the officer that no entry had been made and that no items were missing.  Officer Morgante noticed tool marks on the lock and that the door handle was broken.  He took pictures of the damage and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  He provided the victim with follow up information.  Report 120391157

5:00pm       San Jose/Niagara         Auto Boost
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told Officer Lee that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found a window smashed and several items missing.  The victim did not bring the vehicle to the station with him.  Therefore, Officer Lee was unable to conduct any further investigation. She provided him with follow up information.  Report 120391436

6:24pm       5100 Blk Mission          Vandalism
Officers Shugars and Paras were on patrol when they were flagged down by a merchant regarding damage to his property.  The victim advised that he was in his restaurant cooking when he saw a male hit the glass and crack it.  He said the suspect then fled down Mission and he lost sight of him.  He provided the officers with a description of the suspect and they searched the area unsuccessfully for him.  They provided the victim with follow up information and searched for surveillance cameras in the area to no avail.  Report 120392688

8:15pm       29th/Mission                   Vandalism
Officers Quintero and Leong were dispatched to a vehicle vandalism.  They spoke with the victim who advised that she was giving her friend a ride in her vehicle when they began arguing.  The suspect then exited the vehicle and slammed the door.  He proceeded to break the window with the banjo he was carrying.  The victim was not injured.  She provided the officers with a description of the suspect and they searched the area unsuccessfully for him.  The officers provided the victim with follow up information.  They searched for surveillance cameras in the area but could not locate any that might have captured the incident.  Report 120392967

8:30pm       3700 Blk San Bruno     Vandalism
Officers Leong and Quintero were sent to investigate a possible auto boost.  The victim advised that she parked and secured her vehicle and when she returned found some of her windows smashed.  She said that no items had been taken and that she had already towed the car to the service station to have it fixed.  The officers were unable to conduct any further investigation due to the fact that the vehicle was not at the scene.  They provided the victim with follow up information.  Report 120393062
