8:52am Foerster/Staples Stolen Vehicle
Officers Barcena-Bosnich and Brandt were on patrol when they observed a vehicle fail to yield to a pedestrian pushing a stroller in the crosswalk. There was also a traffic guard assisting the women across the street and the vehicle ignored the crossing guard as well. They affected a traffic stop and dispatch advised that the vehicle was stolen. Several other Ingleside officers responded to assist. The three (two women, one male) occupants in the vehicle were transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation. The vehicle was also driven back to Ingleside station.
At Ingleside station, the driver was booked for driving the stolen vehicle. A record check revealed that the other woman passenger had an outstanding warrant which was confirmed by CWB. Both women were booked at the county jail. The male passenger was issued a Certificate of Release and released at the station.
The owner of the vehicle was contacted and she responded to Ingleside station where the vehicle was released to her. Report 120386697 **BEST ARREST OF THE DAY!!***

12:50pm Unit Blk Leland Theft
SFCCPD Officer Smith responded to a theft call. The victim advised that she was in class and left her desk for a few minutes. When she returned to the desk, she noticed her cellular phone was missing. She had no suspect information and was provided with follow up information. Report 120388762
1:00pm 5400 Blk Mission Theft
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato that he was giving a ride to an individual when he stopped at a store to purchase a beverage. When he returned to his vehicle, the male suspect had left and taken several items from the vehicle. He was provided with follow up information. Report 120389958
2:00pm 300 Blk Edinburgh Fraud
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato that he worried that he hadn’t receive a refund from the IRS and when he contacted them was told that a duplicate filing had been made in his name. The agent requested he file a police report. There was no suspect information and he was provided with follow up information. Report 120389334
3:40pm 1500 Blk Valencia Narcotics
Sgt. O’Brien was investigating a complaint regarding possible forging of prescription medications. She had been informed by a pharmacist that a woman suspect was calling in false prescriptions, possibly for her own use. The pharmacist provided Sgt. O’Brien with all the information and she responded to the suspect’s work address and detained her. The suspect was transported to Ingleside station where she signed a “consent to search form” for her home. She admitted to calling in the false prescriptions. A search of her home located various items of evidence and pill bottles of medication with another patient’s name. The suspect later admitted to selling some of the medications. She was therefore booked into custody. Report 120389152
3:50pm 200 Blk Trumbull Agg. Assault
Officer Bernard and several other Ingleside officers responded to the call of a car accident. A victim advised that she was driving on Trumbull when a woman she knows and she is afraid was walking down the street. She tried to turn her car around and accidentally crashed. The suspect then approached her vehicle and attempted to pepper spray her. The victim struggled with the suspect, grabbed the pepper spray and sprayed the suspect. The suspect then fled the area.
Officer Bernard then noticed the SFFD providing treatment to a woman down the street which turned out to be the suspect who had been pepper sprayed. Neither woman was cooperative and both refused to sign citizen’s arrests for any further police action. They were provided with follow up information. Report 120389469
4:02pm Sunnydale/Rey Robbery
Officers Hopkins and several other housing officers were on patrol when they saw a suspect that was wanted for robbery and assault. They made contact with the suspect and, after a brief struggle, took him into custody. He was transported to Ingleside station and booked at the instruction of Sgt. Lozada. Report 120380718
10:31pm Mission/Virginia Agg. Assault
Officers Peregrina, McMilton and several other Ingleside officers responded to an aggravated assault. They located the victim who was bleeding from the stomach area and immediately requested an ambulance. The victim was a Spanish speaker and Officer Gonzales interviewed him. He said that as he was walking through a parking lot an unknown male approached him and told him to give him his money. The victim ignored him and walked away. The suspect then began punching him repeatedly and the victim ran into the store for assistance. Inside the store he began to feel pain and noticed he was bleeding.
Medic 85 responded to the scene and treated the victim for a puncture wound. He was transported to the hospital for further treatment. The officers took pictures of his injuries which they booked at Ingleside station. They attempted to locate a crime scene to no avail. They provided the victim with follow up information. He was unsure if he could recognize the suspect. The officers were unable to locate any witnesses.
The officers later viewed the surveillance video footage from the store but were unable to retrieve it at the time. Report 120390579
11:00pm 3400 Blk San Bruno Burglary
Officers Morrow and Conceicao were dispatched to a burglary. They met with the victim who told them that someone had broken into his storage closet and taken several items. He was unable to provide any further information and was provided with follow up information. The officers could locate no sign of forced entry. Due to the lack of physical evidence, SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified. Report 120387861
