Arrests:

9:25am       Unit Raymond Ave                Trespassing
Officer Marino responded to a report of trespassing and vandalism at a community center. The reporting party showed the officer two doors that had been severely damaged.  The suspect had been on the premise a couple of days prior, but was notified that the locks had been changed.  The suspect reportedly said that he knew other ways of entering the building.  Later that day, a witness was inside the premise when he heard loud banging, followed by footsteps in the building.  The suspect confronted the witness and asked him why the locks were changed.  The suspect left.  The following day, the witness returned to the center and discovered the damage to the doors.  In a conversation, the suspect admitted causing damage to the doors.   The suspect was later arrested for the damage.  Report 120321223

2:26pm       Ingleside Station                     Warrant
Officer Giannini was working at Ingleside station when a suspect approached the counter.  The suspect said that he knew he was wanted on an outstanding warrant and wanted to turn himself in.  Officer Giannini conducted a records check and confirmed that the suspect was in fact wanted.  The suspect was arrested.  Report 120322011

3:26pm       Unit Blk Schwerin St             Narcotics
Officers Burke, Hopkins, Hurwitz and Sgt. Alvarez responded to a residence where marijuana cultivation was reportedly occurring.  During their investigation, the officers witnessed a U-Haul truck parked in front of the residence containing several items consistently used in growing marijuana in large quantities.  Five suspects were contacted and detained.  Further investigation revealed that the suspects had just removed large quantities of marijuana and items used to grow the marijuana from the residence.  One suspect was arrested regarding this incident.  Report 120322431

6:10pm       200 Blk Avalon Ave               Narcotics
Officers Hurwitz and Sgt. Alvarez were on patrol working in plainclothes.  The officers spotted a suspect sitting in a vehicle smoking from a pipe.  The officers slowly passed by and smelled a strong odor of marijuana.  The officers stopped and made contact with the suspect.  The suspect told the officers that he stopped and parked his vehicle so he could smoke marijuana.  The officers could see a jar in plain sight in the vehicle.  The jar contained several small bags of marijuana.  The suspect exited the vehicle and was detained pending further investigation.  The officers searched the vehicle and located large quantities of marijuana in several other glass jars, a scale and several clear, unused plastic bags, all consisted with the sale of narcotics.  The suspect was arrested.  Report 120322801

1:24am       200 Blk Circular Ave             Theft
Officers Carrasco and Dominguez were dispatched to a report of theft from a vehicle that had just occurred.  The victim told the officers that he was inside his residence and looked outside at his vehicle.  He saw a suspect closing the hatchback of his vehicle.  The victim ran outside to confront the suspect, who fled in a black SUV.  The victim believes he may have left his vehicle unlocked because there were no signs of forced entry.  The suspect made off with approximately $15.00 in cash.  Report 120323611

7:49am       400 Blk Cortland Ave            Theft
Officers Conceicao and Trujillo responded to a report of theft.  The victim was working at the front counter when the suspect entered the store.  The suspect was being rude and yelling at one of the victim’s employees, so he approached her to tell her that he was the owner and that she would not be served because of her behavior.  The suspect then grabbed the tip jar off of the counter and fled.  Several people chased the suspect but were unable to catch her.  Report 120320855

8:40am       Admiral  & Silver Ave           Theft
PSA Zabarte took a report regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim parked and secured his vehicle before leaving it unattended. Upon his return the victim found that a passenger side window on the vehicle had been smashed.  Several documents were stolen from inside.  Report 120320902

9:05am       3100 Blk Mission St               Theft
Officer Morgante was dispatched to a report of theft.  The store had a tire display on the sidewalk area.  A witness saw a suspect pull up to the display, take two tires and place them in his personal vehicle.  The suspect fled.  Report 120321007

11:10am     Unit Blk Phelan Ave              Burglary
CCSFPD Officer Zhadi took a report regarding burglary.  The victim placed his backpack in a locker and secured the locker using a padlock.  Upon his return, he found his backpack out of the locker, and the damaged lock in the garbage can.  The victim’s wallet was stolen.  Report 120321358

2:15pm       Unit Blk Phelan Ave              Theft
CCSFPD Officer Edwards took a report regarding theft.  The victim entered the locker room and encountered two suspects.  The suspects fled the locker room upon her entry.  The victim realized that a camera had been taken off of the counter.  A second victim was missing her cell phone and shoes. The area was searched for the suspect, with negative results.  Report 120319068

4:31pm       4600 Blk Mission St               Assault
PSA Cato took a report regarding an assault.  The victim was walking on Mission Street when he was approached from behind by four suspects.  One of the suspects hit the victim in the back of the head with a glass bottle.  The victim fell to the ground.  The suspects punched and kicked the victim in the face and head while he was on the ground.  The suspects abruptly stopped hitting the victim and fled.  The victim did not call the police and did not report the incident for two days.  Report 120322403

5:00pm       700 Blk Naples St                   Burglary
Officers Shugars and Paras responded to a report of a burglary.  The victim secured his residence before leaving for the day.  Upon his return, he discovered that the metal gate had been forced open and the window on his front door was smashed.  Several of his personal belongings were stolen from inside.  Report 120322914

9:45pm       900 Blk Monterey Blvd         Theft
Officer Cavanaugh took a report regarding theft.  The victim parked and placed some personal belongings in her trunk.  The victim left her vehicle unattended.  Upon her return, she opened her trunk and discovered that her items were gone.  The suspect had forced the trunk open, damaging the lock.  Report 120323213
