10:10am Ocean/San Jose Robbery
A victim came to Ingleside station and told Officer Rueca that he was walking near City College when three suspects approached him. The suspects grabbed the victim by his arm and his cellular phone fell out of his pocket. One of the suspects grabbed the phone and all suspects began running away. The victim chased them and grabbed one of the suspects and all three suspects began punching the victim repeatedly. The suspects then ran away. The victim was bleeding from the nose and went to the hospital for treatment. He complained of pain to the facial area and Officer Rueca took pictures of the areas he pointed to. He booked the pictures into evidence at Ingleside station. The victim said he could possibly identify one of the suspects. He was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120309865
11:15am 3300 Blk Mission Shoplifting
Officers Duffin and Rueca responded to a theft. The reportee stated that she observed a woman enter the store, place several items in her possession, and exit the store without paying for the items. The reportee followed the suspect, but the suspect began screaming at her and the reportee returned to the store. The reportee said she could recognize the suspect if she saw her again. The officers provided her with follow up information and ordered a copy of the video surveillance tape. They searched for the suspect in the general area to no avail. Report Number 120309724
11:32am Unit Blk Norton Purse Snatch
Officer Frisk was sent to investigate a purse snatch. The victim advised she was sitting in front of a home when a male ran towards her and snatched her purse from her lap. The suspect then ran down Norton. The victim provided a description of the suspect and Ingleside officers searched the area unsuccessfully for him. The victim was not injured and refused medical assistance. Officer Frisk provided her with follow up information. Report Number 120310016
1:00pm Monterey/Gennessee Theft
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Flynn that he parked and secured his vehicle in the parking lot of a grocery store. When he returned, he found a window smashed and several items missing. He was unable to provide any further information and was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120310709
3:00pm 1500 Blk Sunnydale Burglary
Officers Obot and several other Ingleside officers were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing Projects when they were dispatched to a burglary. The victim advised that she locked and secured her home and when she returned found the front door open and the home ransacked. She found several items missing, and a broken window in one of the bedrooms. The victim advised that several items were missing. The officers searched the home and found no other sign of forced entry. They determined the window to be the point of entry and the front door to be the point of exit for the suspects. The officers took pictures of the home and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station. They contacted SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit who said they would be responding to process the scene. They provided the victim with follow up information.
The officers knocked on several of the neighbor’s doors for any witnesses but they were not at home. Report Number 120311070
5:00pm 100 Blk Britton Vandalism
Officers Araujo and Muro were dispatched to investigate a vandalism. They met with a maintenance man who stated that a vacant unit had been vandalized. The gentleman told them that the door to the unit had been forced open and there was damage to the door jam. The officers did not notice any other damage, and it did not appear that entry had been made into the unit. They provided the reportee with follow up information. They searched the area for witnesses and any surveillance cameras to no avail. Report Number 120309332
7:15pm 100 Blk Britton Reckless Driving
Sgt. McDevitt and several other Ingleside officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed perform several vehicle code violations displaying a wanton disregard for the public’s safety. The officers followed the vehicle and the driver came to stop. He exited the vehicle and proceeded to toward Britton Street. The officers recognized him from prior contacts. They were aware that he was on active felony probation and that his driver’s license was suspended. The officers lost sight of the suspect and several officers canvassed the area unsuccessfully for him. Inside the vehicle, they located the suspect’s identification and which they confiscated as evidence. They booked all evidence at Ingleside station. They towed the vehicle to Auto Return. 8:00pm Unit Blk Winding Vehicle Strip
Officer LaRocca responded to the theft of a catalytic converter. The victim advised that she locked and secured her vehicle, and when she returned and attempted to start it heard a loud noise coming from underneath. She then discovered the vehicle’s catalytic converter was missing. She did not see anyone strip the vehicle and there were no witnesses. No entry was made into the vehicle. The officer provided her with follow up information and found no ascertainable fingerprints to collect as evidence. Report Number 120309241
8:45pm Bosworth/Milton Battery
Officers Lustenberg and Benavidez were dispatched to a battery. The victim was Spanish speaking and Officer Gonzalez responded to translate. The victim said she was walking on Bosworth when she felt someone walking behind her. She turned around and an unknown female punched her repeatedly with closed fists. The victim began yelling as she ran away and another female started to chase her. The victim then ran into a store and the suspects fled on foot. The victim said she could not recognize the suspects if she saw them again because it all “happened so fast.” The victim complained of pain and an ambulance was summoned to treat her. She was provided with follow up information. The officers ordered a copy of the surveillance video from the grocery store and searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspects. 8:56pm Bosworth/Cuvier Robbery
Officers Almaguer and Chan responded to a robbery call. They met with the victim who spoke in Cantonese to Officer Chan. She told the officers that she was walking on Bosworth when suddenly an unknown female ran up to her, pepper sprayed her in the face, grabbed her bag and ran down the street. The female boarded a vehicle which sped off. An ambulance was summoned to treat the victim. She did not believe she could identify the suspect and was provided with follow up information.
The officers were able to locate a witness who stated that he observed the female suspect attack and rob the victim and that the suspect then boarded a silver vehicle which sped off. The officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect and the vehicle. They located a grocery store nearby with a video surveillance camera and ordered a copy of the tape. 9:45pm Unit Blk Phelan Narcotics
SFCCPD Officer Chang was on patrol when he observed a vehicle fail to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. He affected a traffic stop and made a positive identification of the driver through his California driver’s license. As he spoke with the driver, he noticed a smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver admitted to being in possession of marijuana and the officer had him exit his vehicle. Several other officers responded to assist Officer Chang. An arrest search of the vehicle located several large baggies containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody and booked at the county jail. The narcotics were packaged and hand delivered to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice. Report Number 120311729

Officer Almaguer was sent to investigate a burglary. He met with the victim who told him that he locked and secured his home and when he returned found several items missing. He was unable to provide any further information and there was no sign of forced entry. He was provided with follow up information.
