1:00am       Unit Blk Raymond       Vandalism
Officer Burke responded to a vandalism report.  The victim told him that he was looking out of his window and saw a few people speaking loudly.  A few minutes later, the victim said a rock was thrown at one of his windows causing it to break.  The victim did not see anyone throw the rock and does not believe he could identify the males he saw outside.  He was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120057917

7:00am       3300 Blk Mission          Theft
Officers Hauscarriague and Almaguer responded to a car theft incident.  The victim told him that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found several items missing.  He said there was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle and wanted the incident documented for possible identification theft.  The officers provided him with follow up information.  Report Number 120057804

5:30pm       4900 Blk Mission           Robbery
Officers Hom and Tam responded to a robbery.  The victim was in a state of panic and extremely upset and an ambulance was summoned immediately.  A friend of the victim was also on scene and stated the victim had called her for help.  The victim was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  The officers responded to the hospital while several other officers remained at the scene.  The victim was a Spanish speaker and Officer Castillo responded to assist with the interview.  When the victim was able to speak with the officers she told them that she was working inside the store when two males entered the store and began to look around.  The males asked her if she was alone and then demanded she open the cash register and give her the money inside.  When the victim refused to do so one of the males pulled out a gun and pointed it at her and demanded she open the register. The victim opened the register and gave him the money which was placed into a black bag.  The male grabbed her and forced her into the back room and the other male followed.  The victim stated that the male began to grab her and choke her until he noticed there was a safe in the room.  He told her to open the safe or he would kill her.  The victim opened and the safe and the males took items from the safe and told her if she called the police she would be killed.  The victim said she then passed out and doesn’t remember what happened after that.  The victim said she woke on the floor and called her friend for help.  The victim said she did not get a good look at the suspects and does not believe she could identify them if she saw them again.  The officers took pictures of her injuries and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  They provided her with follow up information. 

At the scene of the incident, officers took several pictures and searched the area for any possible video surveillance cameras to no avail.  They searched the area for the suspects unsuccessfully.  The officers contacted the SFPD’s Robbery unit who took over the investigation.  Report Number 120057735

6:00pm       300 Blk Allison              Vandalism
Officers Elton and Rueca responded to a vandalism.  The victim told him that there was a hold in his front window which he believed was caused by a “bb” gun.  The victim did not see anyone do the damage and never heard any glass break.  The officers noticed a small hole in the window which they took pictures of and later booked into evidence at Ingleside station.  They provided the victim with follow up information and searched the area unsuccessfully for witnesses.  Report Number 120057600

8:19pm       500 Blk Alemany           Assault W/Gun
Officer Hart and several other Ingleside officers were dispatched to a shooting.  Upon his arrival, Officers Leong and Castillo were attending to a Hispanic male who had suffered a gunshot wound to his chest.  An ambulance was summoned immediately and began initial medical attention on the victim.  He was transported to the hospital for further treatment. 

Officer Preston interviewed witnesses at the scene.  One witness told him that two males shot the victim and ran into the Alemany Housing Projects.  He provided the officer with a description of the suspects and Officer Preston broadcasted the description as several officers canvassed the area in search of them.  A crime scene was secured in the area of the shooting and Sgt. Paine located an intact bullet in the area.  Another witness at the scene pointed to a male in the crowd and stated he was involved.  The male was detained at the scene pending further investigation. 

Another Spanish speaking witness was interviewed with the assistance of Lieutenant Delgadillo.  The witness stated that it was the detained individual who had shot the victim.  He told him that he and the victim were leaving a friend’s house when they were approached by two males with handguns who told them to give them their shoes.  The witness said he then heard a series of gunshots and saw the victim fall to the ground.  The suspects then ran into the Alemany Housing Projects. 

Officer Rueca then spoke to other witnesses who told them their car had stalled near the area and when they exited the vehicle they heard a woman screaming for the police.  They walked over and saw the victim on the ground and began assisting him in lying down and keeping warm.  They then called the police. 

SFPD’s Criminal Investigative Robbery Team arrived to take over the investigation.  Sgts Kasper and Discenza responded to the address where the detained individual resides with his roommate.  They conducted a probation search of the residence with negative results.  The roommate told the officers that the detained individual was inside the home with her and had no involvement in the shooting.  The detained individual was transported to Ingleside station for further investigation.

Officers canvassed the scene for any additional witnesses to no avail.  SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigative Team responded to the process the scene for any additional evidence.  Officers responded to the hospital and collected the victim’s clothing as evidence.  All evidence was booked at Ingleside station.

The detained individual was interviewed at Ingleside station and, based on the content of the interview, was released by Sgt. Kasper.  Report Number 120058131
