1:02am Unit Blk Brookdale Ave Stolen Vehicle
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca were on patrol in the area of the unit block of Brookdale Ave when they noticed a vehicle approaching at a fast rate of speed. The vehicle then suddenly stopped and began to reverse away from them. The officers watched as the vehicle sped off down Brookdale Ave. They suspected that the vehicle might be stolen. While not in pursuit, the officers followed the vehicle from a distance as it turned onto Bayshore Ave out of sight. When the officers turned onto Bayshore Ave, they saw that the vehicle had crashed into a median. The officers witnessed two suspects flee from the vehicle and they chased the suspects on foot. The officers located one suspect hiding in some bushes and detained him. A short time later, a high priority call for service came out in Brisbane, Ca. Officers Morse and Polovina from Ingleside responded to the area along with Brisbane and Daly City officers. A subject was detained that matched the description of the suspect that fled the vehicle, and he was later positively identified as the suspect. A records check of the vehicle revealed that it was in fact stolen. Both suspects also had outstanding warrants and were in possession of illegal weapons. 9:15pm Crescent/Ellsworth St Suspended DL
Officers Hart and Duffin were on patrol when they saw a vehicle drive through a stop sign while making no attempt to stop. The officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver. The driver did not have any identification him, but provided the officers with a name. A records check revealed that the driver had never been issued a driver’s license. The driver was transported to Co. H for further investigation regarding his identity. Upon further check it was revealed that the driver lied about his name and that he had been issued a license, which was suspended. The driver was cited and released for the above violations. 7:09 am 300 Blk Nevada St Fire
Officer Morgante responded to a call of a working fire. Upon arrival, he made contact with a subject who had suffered burns from an apparent explosion. The subject claimed the explosion had occurred while he was cooking on a “camp stove”. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment. Upon further investigation, the officer found a large quantity of suspected narcotics, as well as other items consistent with narcotics activity. The officer was unable to locate any “camp stove”. 2:25pm 200 Blk Ocean Ave Embezzlement
Officer Lee took a report from a citizen who is the victim of embezzlement from a former employee. The victim stated that a former employee had run up thousands of dollars in credit card bills and car payments. Report 110224988
5:54pm Unit Blk Leland Ave Battery
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca were dispatched to a small restaurant regarding a battery. The victim stated that two suspects entered the restaurant and ordered food. When the food was ready, the suspects became angry and said that the food was too expensive. One of the suspects picked up a salt shaker and threw it in the victim’s direction. The salt shaker missed, but shattered when it hit the counter, causing glass to fly. A piece of glass hit the victim in the hand and caused a small cut. The officers searched the area for the suspects with negative results. Report 110228407
11:00pm Unit Blk Moffitt St Theft from Vehicle
Officers Cassinelli and Hom were responded to a call of a theft from vehicle. The victim stated she locked and secured her vehicle when she parked it. The victim heard her car alarm go off twice before she went to see what was going on. She found the front passenger window of her vehicle had been smashed and that her purse had been taken from the car. Report 110229449
