Blk Sawyer Firearm
Foot chases are an unfortunate but necessary part of being a
police officer. Some suspects assume they are faster than the pursuing officer,
especially when an officer is carrying several pounds of extra weight from his
or her equipment and clothing. They are usually wrong. On this morning,
Ingleside Officers Hoge and Wells were on routine patrol near Arleta and
Bayshore when the spotted a speeding Dodge Charger driving by. The Charger
peaked the officer’s interest because, at Mission and Crescent, an hour earlier
(see report below), suspects driving a black Charger robbed a victim. Hoge and
Wells, turned on their emergency lights and siren and began chasing the Charger
in what was initially an unsuccessful attempt to pull the vehicle over. The
driver of the Charger, seeing the pursuing officers, picked up speed and blew
through several stop signs on Raymond before crashing into the garage door of a
home on Sawyer Street. When Hoge and Wells pulled up the driver was gone and
the passenger was just exiting the car and attempting to escape. He started
running southbound on Sawyer with Wells in pursuit. The chase lasted several blocks
and Wells momentarily lost sight of the man until he noticed two feet sticking
out underneath a pickup truck parked on Loehr Street. It was the suspect and he
was quickly placed in custody and brought back to Ingleside Station. Investigating
officers found a handgun by the crashed vehicle as well as identification and
other items with names not matching the suspect. He was booked for possession
of a firearm by a felon and recklessly evading a police officer. Report number:

Blk Plymouth D.U.I/Hit&Run
Ingleside Officer Billings was dispatched to Plymouth and
Monterey to investigate a report of a vehicle collision. When he arrived he
found a brand new Audi up on the curb after colliding with a parked vehicle.
The Audi’s owner was at the scene. Witnesses told Officer Billings that the
Audi driver had collided with another car while in the parking lot of a nearby
store. The owner then drove off a short distance before colliding with the
second vehicle. Officer Billings noticed the woman owner had bloodshot eyes.
She readily admitted to having three glasses of wine a short time earlier at a
business event. She was taken to San Francisco General for treatment of minor
injuries and where a blood alcohol test revealed she was operating a motor
vehicle with a level higher than allowed by law. She was arrested for D.U.I,
Hit &Run, and other vehicle code violations. Report number: 150778036

Blk Crescent Robbery
Ingleside Officers Dilag and Glenn were dispatched to a call
of a robbery involving two men possibly driving a black Dodge Charger. The
victims told Dilag and Glenn they were walking eastbound on Crescent when two
men suddenly confronted them demanding, “Money, money, money”. One of the
suspects struck the victim in the head with a handgun before removing
approximately $60 in cash. While the victim was on the ground, one of the
suspects kicked and punched him several times. Then the suspect turned his
attention to the other victim, punching him in the stomach before removing
approximately $80 in cash. Both suspects then fled to a waiting Dodge Charger
which sped away. The vehicle was later found and one of the suspects arrested.

4:40am Crescent/Nevada Robbery
Ingleside Officer DeFilippo was dispatched to San Francisco
General Hospital to interview a robbery victim. The patient who was being
treated for injuries suffered in the robbery told DeFilippo that he was walking
home on Crescent near Nevada when two suspects approached from behind and
pushed him to the ground. The suspects then punched him several times in the
face while he was lying on the sidewalk. The suspects then reached into his
pockets and took his cell phone, cash, debit and credit cards and over $200
cash inside his wallet. Report number: 150775418
