The next Ingleside Community meeting will be held at the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center located at 515 Cortland Avenue on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 6 p.m. There will be light refreshments available to those who come to the meeting.  All are welcome to attend. Arrests:

11:55am     Tomkins & Peralta                     Weapon/Warrant Arrest
A business owner called police asking that they respond to his office. The caller said a man who had chased and threatened him before with a knife a month before was presently parked outside his office. Ingleside Officers Calupad and Dungca responded and found the suspect sitting in a truck parked next to the victim’s place of business. A computer check revealed a warrant for his arrest from San Mateo County. The business owner signed a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was arrested and booked for exhibiting a weapon and the warrant. Report number: 170998446


10:33pm     Unit Blk. Cotter                         Homicide
Ingleside officers, joined by Ingleside Captain Hart, along with units from Taraval Station arrested a homicide suspect at his home. The actual incident occurred in the Traval and officers tracked the suspect to his house on Cotter Street. The suspect was transferred to the County Jail and the investigation into the crime is continuing. Report number: 180033139




Serious Incidents:

2:08am       5100 Blk. Mission                     Aggravated Assault
A misunderstanding in a bar involving a patron, a woman, and the woman’s boyfriend resulted in a victim being punched several times in the face and shots fired into the air. The victim told Ingleside Officers Fogarty and Zhao that he was punched after the boyfriend accused him of inappropriate contact with his girlfriend. Another man, viewing the fight, took out a firearm and fired several shots into the air. The officers recovered eight bullet casings in the area and a Volkswagen with bullet damage to a window and door was towed to impound. The victim refused medical attention. Report number: 180030765


3:00am       4800 Mission                            Hot Prowl Burglary
A woman awoke to the sounds of banging noises coming from her front door. It was about a half hour after her roommate left for work. The woman then heard the sounds of cabinets being opened and closed in the kitchen next to the bedroom. She woke up her partner who was unconcerned by the noises. The woman then heard footsteps running down the front stairs to the street. Later in the day, the woman woke up to find her front door ajar but nothing missing from inside the home. She told Ingleside Officers Lau and Hardy that the only damage to the home was the front door. Report number: 180032971


12:00noon  200 Blk. Monterey                  Hot Prowl Burglary
A woman asleep in her bedroom woke up to someone shining a flashlight in her eyes. She told Ingleside Officers Lim and Cvetovac that the suspect then ran out of the home through the open garage door. The victim woke up her father upstairs and they looked through the home and found a watch missing and several drawers open in the living room area and the guest bedroom. The officers determined the burglar entered the home through an unlocked garage door. Report number: 180034002


3:54pm       300 Blk. London                      Robbery
A man returned home and found an unknown car parked in front of his home. The victim parked behind the car just as the unknown motorist pulled forward. The victim told Ingleside Officers Suguitan and Park that he got out of his car just as the suspect approached and started a conversation. It wasn’t long before the suspect tried to remove a shoulder bag from the victim. A fight ensued and the suspect pulled out a knife threatening to cut the suspect if he didn’t relinquish his hold on the bag. The victim did and the suspect ran back to his car and drove away. The loss was cash, credit cards, wallet, driver’s license, debit and credit cards. An ambulance arrived and medics treated the victim for several lacerations to his nose, cheek, and left ear. 11:27pm     3600 Blk. Mission                   Attempted Robbery
Ingleside Officers Mroz and Cagney responded to a report of an attempted robbery. The victim told the officers he was at his home’s front gate when an unknown suspect grabbed his backpack from behind. The victim screamed his wife’s name while the suspect punched the victim several times in the head. The wife, who was inside the home, looked outside just in time to see the suspect escaping northbound on Mission Street without the victim’s property. Mroz and Cagney offered medical assistance to the victim, but he refused. Report number: 180033208
