Ingleside Officers Park and Watts were dispatched to a report
of a vehicle accident involving a truck and a light pole. When they arrived
they found the truck up on the curb next to the pole and the truck driver
inside an ambulance being treated for his injuries. The officers noticed his
breath smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred. He was unable to perform
the roadside sobriety test because of his injuries. He declined the officer’s
request for a blood or breath alcohol test. Park and Watts requested and were
granted a warrant for a blood test which was conducted at San Francisco General
Hospital where the victim was being treated for his injuries. After the test he
was cited for the DUI. Report number: 171033447
