10:40am     1000 Blk. Ocean                           Firearm
A 2015 Ford Focus with tinting covering all windows caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Cuadro and Lucia. The California Vehicle Code prohibits the aftermarket tinting of the windshield and driver’s and front passenger’s window. The officers followed the Ford as it drove on Granada to Holloway where it blew through a stop sign. Then the driver traveled back to Ocean Avenue where the officers stopped the vehicle. When they approached the car the officers could smell marijuana. A search turned up almost five grams of marijuana along with a fully loaded .45 caliber Glock handgun hidden under the front passenger seat. The gun and marijuana were seized and the car released to its owner. The driver was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a firearm, marijuana offense, and traffic violations.
