Amazon Park Clubhouse located at 799 Moscow Street on Tuesday, December 12,
2017 at 7 p.m. There will be light refreshments available to those who come

Safe Shopper 2017 - Holiday Season Safety Tips
During this
holiday season, the San Francisco Police Department will be working to enhance
safety for residents, visitors and shoppers. There will be increased foot
patrols in shopping areas throughout the city, including the horse/mounted
unit, plainclothes officers and traffic enforcement.
“The men
and women of the San Francisco Police Department wish everyone a safe and
joyful holiday season,” said Chief William Scott. “Whether you’re shopping for
gifts or going about your daily routine, it’s important to remain careful and
aware to prevent theft. Follow our tips to help keep you and your belongings
safe.”
• Stay
alert when using electronic devices. Limit your distractions.
• Always be
alert to your surroundings and have your keys in your hand as you approach your
vehicle.
• Park
Smart: Help avoid vehicle break-ins, leave nothing visible in your car.
Consider moving your vehicle to a different location each time you load
packages in the trunk. Try to use parking lots where there are parking
attendants.
• Keep your
wallet in a hard-to-reach place and carry only the cash and credit cards that
you will need to complete your shopping.
• If someone
demands your purse, wallet, or packages, surrender them, make note of the
suspect’s description and direction they flee and call 911. Property can be
replaced.
• If you
see something, say something. If you witness criminal activity or see something
or someone suspicious, flag down a police officer, call 911 or contact
security.
• Use 311
to report auto burglaries.
• Shop with
a companion, especially after dark, whenever possible.
•
Shield your PIN when using ATMs or other electronic devices in public.

10:05am Amazon & Madrid Robbery
Ingleside
Officers Prieto and Aros were on routine patrol when they were flagged down by
a man standing in the middle of Geneva Avenue near Moscow. The man said there
were robbery victim’s chasing a robbery suspect through Crocker-Amazon Park.
The officers radioed dispatch the details and asked for assistance before
driving towards the park where they found several witnesses pointing to a
suspect climbing fences near the tennis courts. Officer Prieto exited his
patrol car and began chasing the suspect who refused several orders to stop.
Finally, the suspect, with the help of Sgt. Springer and Sgt. Young, was
apprehended on one of the baseball diamonds. He had a firearm in his possession
and stolen property was discarded nearby. The victim’s told the officers the
suspect walked up to them while they were sitting in their car, revealed a
firearm, then took a backpack containing their property. The victim’s chased
the suspect while yelling to witnesses to call police. The suspect was
transported to Ingleside Station and booked for robbery and other crimes.

12:27am 1600 Blk. Sunnydale Discharging of Firearm
Gunfire
in the area activated nearby “Shot Spotter” sensors and prompted dispatch to
send Ingleside Officers George and Cassinelli to investigate. The officers
arrived on scene and found several .40 caliber rounds in the street and a car
with a bullet hole in the windshield. The officers searched the surrounding
area for witnesses and potential victims without success. Report number:

11:45am 3200 Blk. San Bruno Hot Prowl Burglary
A
woman left home and returned a short while later to find her front door ajar.
She stayed outside while calling her father on her phone. He lived upstairs and
came down just in time to see three men exiting the front door of his
daughter’s apartment and running to a nearby van which sped away south on San
Bruno Avenue. Ingleside Officers Zandanel
and Leung arrived and secured the home. Inside they found a bedroom
ransacked and the victim said cash and jewelry were missing. Nearby residents
and business with security cameras were contacted with a request to provide
possible video of the suspects. Report number: 170974361
7:22pm 1600 Blk. Sunnydale Attempted Homicide
Officers
Quinlan, Thomas, and more than a dozen other Ingleside officers responded to a
home on the 1600 block of Sunnydale Avenue. A man inside the home had suffered several
gunshot wounds and is reported in grave condition at San Francisco General
