Arrests:

3:07am       100 Blk. Ripley                                Theft and Vandalism
Dispatch received several calls from citizens reporting that a disturbed man had ripped a mailbox off a fence from in front of a home. The suspect was yelling incoherently and brandishing a stick at witnesses. Ingleside Officers Gomez, Mora, Alexander, Thompson, and Kerlegan responded and attempted to detain the troubled individual. But the suspect exhibited even more erratic behavior swinging the stick at the officers and yelling unintelligible words. He was finally placed in custody after a brief struggle and cited for the vandalism. He was then transported to San Francisco General Hospital for mental health observation and treatment. Serious Incidents:

10:45am     900 Blk. Geneva                               Theft
Several Walgreens employees became suspicious after noticing two women walking through the store and placing items into tote bags. The employees followed the suspects and then the store manager and other employees confronted the pair near the store’s exit. During the confrontation, one of the suspects hit an employee’s arm which dislodged the employee’s phone from her grip. One of the suspects picked up the phone and left the store with the employee’s property along with items stolen from the store. Report number: 170647762

A postal worker, unloading packages from the back of his truck, was violently pushed from behind into the truck by two suspects. The postal worker told Ingleside Officers Endo and Glover that the suspects then grabbed approximately eight small packages and fled to a nearby vehicle which sped away. The postal worker refused medical attention. Report number: 170647784


3:42pm       4600 Blk. Mission                             Robbery
Ingleside Officers Mora and Alexander responded to a report of a street robbery and assault. The victim told the officers she was walking down the sidewalk when an unknown suspect stepped in front of her and blocked her path. The woman and the suspect exchanged obscenities for a short time, before the suspect grabbed a key chain around the witness’ neck and ripped it off her body. The suspect then ran away in an unknown direction. Report number: 170648481
