Arrests:

6:47am       Bernal Heights/Anderson                 Stolen Vehicle
A rental car customer decided to quit paying and keep driving his Enterprise vehicle for more than a month. The rental company activated the ONSTAR tracking system and ONSTAR notified SFPD of the now stolen car and its location. Ingleside Officers Campos and Alexander found the car parked at the intersection of Bernal Heights and Anderson with a male and female occupant. The officers ordered the pair out of the vehicle and searched the car. The officers discovered a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine. A computer check revealed the driver was wanted on a $25,000 warrant out of San Mateo County and a $15,000 warrant out of Kern County. The driver was arrested for vehicle theft, the warrants, and the narcotics paraphernalia. His passenger was released at the scene. Report number: 170644025

4:15pm       Unit Blk. Coleridge                           Theft
An alert homeowner spotted an unknown man enter his backyard through a side gate. The suspect then crouched down and peered through several windows before spotting the homeowner’s bicycle in the backyard. The suspect picked up the bicycle and a package near the gate and exited the backyard only to be confronted by the homeowner. The suspect and homeowner then argued over the homeowner’s property until the suspect finally left the property and walked away. Ingleside Officers Wise and Tupper responded to the homeowners and neighbors calls to dispatch and found the suspect on the 3100 block of Mission. He was arrested for grand theft and other crimes and taken to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 170645493
