Arrests:6:52pm 200 Blk Putnam FirearmOfficer Hardy was on duty patrolling the area near the Farmers Market when he spotted a Silver Acura headed northbound on Putnam Street. Officer Hardy immediately recognized the vehicle as one that was involved in a robbery with a gun in the Taraval District a few weeks back. He ran the Acura’s license plates, which revealed the car was in fact wanted for that incident. Officer Hardy immediately turned around and caught up to the vehicle as it was backing into a driveway on the 200 block of Putnam Street. With his gun drawn, Officer Hoge was able to take the woman driver into custody with the assistance of Officers Hoge and Tupper. As the investigation continued at the scene, a male subject arrived and began interfering with Officer Hardy’s investigation and demanded to know why his female acquaintance was being detained. Officer Hoge noticed that this male subject matched the description of the robbery suspect and also detained him pending the investigation. A search of his person revealed he was carrying a concealed handgun inside his pants pocket. A computer check also revealed the male subject was wanted for a parole violation. At the conclusion, the female driver was eventually released and the male subject was taken to Ingleside Station where he was booked on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges.
