Arrests:

10:25am                    Francis & Mission St                                       Battery
A simmering custody case and chance encounter all led two subjects into a physical confrontation.  After one scratched the other in the face, shoving ensued until one party called the police.  Each subject signed a citizen’s arrest against each other so both were cited for battery by officers Morrow and Tiffer.  After talking with both parties, the officers suggested they quickly get the custody issues settled in court to prevent future unnecessary confrontations.  Report number: 170532367

Serious Incidents:

1:45am                     5200 blk Diamond Heights          Aggravated Assault
A Safeway employee was chased and attacked by two men. The victim told officers Dilag and Hermosura that he was working at the front of the store when two men approached him and asked his identity. The employee ignored the request and went into the store with the suspects pursuing him. The suspects, along with two women accomplices, caught up with the victim in an aisle and punched him several times in the head. The suspect then left the store in a Ford Exhibition which was quickly stopped by Ingleside officers Trumpp and Salazar. The victim refused to press charges against the suspects and he was taken to San Francisco General for treatment. Report number: 170531626

4:00pm                     Mansell & Visitacion                          Deadly Weapon
Ingleside officers Hornstein and Suguitan were dispatched to call of a man with a gun. When they arrived they found the suspect sitting inside a car. The officers removed the suspect and searched the car finding a remote control that could easily be mistaken as a small gun. The officers talked to the victims who said the suspect made disparaging remarks about the woman while at the nearby tennis courts. When the male victim objected the suspect revealed what the victims believed was a gun. The victims ran away and the suspect escaped only to be apprehended by Hornstein and Suguitan. The victims signed a citizen’s arrest form but later decided he didn’t want to pursue charges. The suspect was released at the scene. Report number: 170533268
