Arrests:3:15am Unit Blk. Bernal Heights Stolen VehicleIngleside Officers Young and Sherry were on routine patrol when the spotted an older Mitsubishi near the entrance to Bernal Heights Park with the windows fogged up. Young and Sherry ran the plates on the vehicle and dispatch notified the officers the car was reported stolen from a San Francisco address. The officers turned on their emergency lights and used the patrol vehicle’s PA system to order the occupants out of the vehicle. After a short time, a man and woman exited the car and were placed into custody. Both were transported to Ingleside Station and booked for car theft. Report number: 170366003Serious Incidents:
6:52pm Unit Blk. Niagara Aggravated AssaultA parking dispute resulted in serious injuries to one woman. The victim told Ingleside Officer Beltran and Sgt. Ueber that she returned home to find a Ford Exhibition parked in her driveway. The victim got out of her VW to ask the driver to please move out of her driveway so she could park her car. The Ford driver moved forward a short distance but was still blocking her driveway. The VW driver got out of her car to ask again for the Ford driver to move. However, he didn’t and instead, the two, now joined with other occupants of the Ford, began arguing outside their vehicles. Suddenly, one of the Ford’s occupants smashed his fist into the victim’s face, causing her to fall to the ground. The victim got up and called 911 while the Ford drove away. Meanwhile, the victim’s boyfriend, exited their residence, and joined the victim in the VW as they chased the Ford through the neighborhood finally abandoning the pursuit on Geneva Avenue. The pair went back home and waited for police. They gave officers the license plate of the Ford which came back to a South San Francisco address. South San Francisco Police contacted the owner of the vehicle who told them the car was loaned to friends. Meanwhile, the victim was driven to the hospital by her boyfriend for treatment of her injuries.
