Arrests:6:00pm Moscow & Brazil Stolen VehicleThe owner of a stolen car walked into Bayview Police Station to report the theft. The victim gave officers a description of her Prius along with the license plate number. But the victim also told the officers that she was tracking the stolen car as it weaved through the City. Using that information dispatch alerted Bayview, Taraval, and Ingleside units to be on the lookout for the stolen car. The alert paid off when Ingleside Officers Jensen and Lustenberger spotted the stolen Prius on the 2200 block of Ingalls street. The officers stopped the car and the driver jumped out and tried to escape. He didn’t get far. He was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for booking. His passengers were released to their respective parents. Report number: 1703703997:00pm 50 Phelan Ave. WeaponCommunity College Police Officer Cobar and Flood were patrolling a portion of the campus where students like to hang out and smoke marijuana. They found four individuals smoking the substance and asked them to stop. One of the suspects was using a pipe and he agreed to destroy it. A search of clothing found no other narcotic paraphernalia, but the officers did find a large folding knife on one of the men. He was cited for possession of an illegal weapon and released at the scene. Report number: 170367136Serious Incidents:12:01am 1200 Blk Geneva WeaponA man walked into Ingleside Station to report an incident involving a gun. He told Police Services Aid Bruce that he and a friend were walking their dog near the ARCO station when an unknown man walking by yelled at him, “Why are you looking at me?” The suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim told the suspect he was just walking his dog. A short conversation ensued between the suspect and the victim before both parted with the suspect walking away and the victim eventually going to Ingleside Station to report the incident.
