Highland Stolen Vehicle
A
call came in over the police radio about a suspect, wearing hoop earrings, a black
beanie, and “John Lennon” glasses, stealing a Toyota van. Ingleside officers
Ocreto and Alioto responded and found a suspect matching the description
walking northbound on Mission near Randall Street. The officers placed the
suspect in custody and went back to Mission and Highland Streets where
witnesses said the suspect was seen breaking into a Toyota Van. The owner of
the van confirmed that property found in the suspects backpack was taken from
the glove box in the van. Report number: 170248003

An emergency exit alarm alerted store personnel that someone
was leaving the facility using a portal designed for emergency use only. A
store manager quickly ran to the exit and found an unknown subject standing
outside in the parking lot. When he asked the suspect why he left using the
door, the suspect replied, “Because it was near my home”. The store manager
asked if he had anything in his backpack and the suspect replied, “no, but I
have this”, and took out an automatic firearm. The manager went back into the
store and called police. Ingleside
officers Philips and Cubas arrived and talked to witnesses that saw the suspect
removing items from store shelves and placing them into his backpack before
