Arrests:
6:40pm 700 Blk. San Jose Theft
The
call came in to dispatch of a man attacking another man with a crowbar.
Ingleside Officers Marshall, Padilla, Scott, Mendiola, Beltran, and Hardy were
dispatched and found one of the men on the ground and another in his nearby
truck. The man in the truck told the officers that he was home when he noticed
the other man sitting on his neighbor’s front steps. The first man told his
wife to call police while he went outside to investigate. He found the man
sitting on his neighbor’s step breaking open a package that was delivered and
left on the neighbor’s steps. When the suspect saw the neighbor, he dropped the
package and ran away. The neighbor chased him to the unit block of Kingston
Street where he took out a crowbar from his truck and yelled “get on the ground”.
The suspect complied and both waited for police to arrive. The neighbor signed
a citizen’s arrest form and the suspect was placed in custody. A search of the
suspect’s clothing revealed cocaine, methamphetamine, and a pipe to smoke both

7:40pm 300 Blk. Monterey Robbery
A
pregnant woman walking home was brutally attacked by a group of juveniles. The
victim told Ingleside Officers Wells, Anton-Buzzard, and Dito that she saw the
suspects walking toward her and felt uneasy. When they approached, one of the
suspects punched her in the face with a closed fist causing her to fall to the
ground. While on the ground the suspects searched through her pockets taking her
keys. They only stopped their attack when she yelled that she was pregnant. The
officers called for medical assistance and then searched the surrounding area
where the suspects were located and placed in custody on Joost Street. All of
them were charged with Robbery and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center

6:10am 800 Blk. Huron Robbery
A man walked into Ingleside Station to report a robbery. He told PSA Bruce that he was getting into
his car in his driveway to go to work when an unknown suspect appeared and
prevented him from closing the car door. The suspect pulled up his shirt, revealing
a gun, and demanded the car keys. The victim declined his demand saying, “No, I
need my car to go to work”. The suspect then said, “Well, give me your wallet”.
Again, the victim said no he needed his driver’s license. The victim then
pulled $100 cash from the wallet and gave it to the suspect. But the suspect
wasn’t appeased saying, “Do you have more?”
The victim showed him an empty wallet and the suspect then ran away
north on Huron towards Laura. Report number: 170300722
12:20pm 100 Blk. St. Mary’s
Ave. Robbery
Ingleside Officers Archilla, Burke, and Lt. Yee were
dispatched to a report of a street robbery. The victim told the officers that a
short time before they arrived she was walking West on St. Mary’s Avenue when
an unknown suspect ran up behind her and pushed her to the ground. When she tried
to stand up, the suspect took her purse from her shoulder and ran to a waiting
car that sped east on St. Mary’s avenue. The victim, who suffered abrasions to
her knees, refused medical attention. The loss, beside the purse, were credit

1:30pm 300 Blk. Justin Hot
Prowl Burglary
A new mother, at home with her baby boy, heard footsteps
upstairs which concerned her. She knew that everyone else in the home was
either at school or at work. Shortly, thereafter, she heard a loud bang at her
door and opened it to see an unknown man wearing a grey hoodie stick his head
through the door and looked at her. The suspect then turned around and went to
the garage and the victim and her young son ran outside to her car and called
police. Ingleside Officers Paras, Zubko, Mora, Naser, Sgt. Martin, and Lt. Yee
arrived to investigate. The, officers along with residents, found the upstairs
rooms in disarray and money and jewelry missing. Report number: 170299909
11:30pm 100 Blk. 29th
Street Carjacking
A man squeezing into a tight parking space was the victim of a
carjacking. He told Ingleside Officers Hermosura and Dilag that he parked his
Honda at the curb and got out, with the engine running, to make sure he wasn’t
blocking any driveways. He then heard an unknown man shout, “Hey, that’s my
car”, and turned around to see the suspect holding a silver pistol to his face.
The victim turned and ran away. He told the officers, during his escape, he
heard his car engine revving and assumed the thief was having trouble with a
“stick” shift car. Besides the car he also lost his cell phone which was in the
vehicle. He was able to track his phone to Valley and Dolores Street before it
was turned off. Officers Hermosura and Dilag went to the intersection and found
the Honda, but not the phone. Report number: 170301792
