Arrests:

11:05am                      800 Blk. Geneva                          Battery/Vandalism
A road rage incident resulted in injuries and a citation for one of the combatants. Ingleside officers DeBellis and Peralta were dispatched to Geneva and Mission where they found two motorists. Both told the officers the incident began when one of the motorists was observed driving erratically northbound on Alemany cutting the other driver off. The motorist driving erratically “flipped off” the other motorist and swore at him. Both drivers turned east on Geneva and stopped at the signal at Mission. The following motorist got out of his car and punched the other motorist’s tail light, breaking it. The second motorist then got out of his car with his phone and started filming the suspect saying he was calling police and got back in his car. The following motorist then apologized and asked the other motorist not to film him. He did and placed his phone back into his pocket and got back into his car. But the other motorist started hitting the first motorist with his fist in front of his daughter while he sat in his car.  DeBellis and Peralta arrived and after talking to both men, viewing the footage, and seeing the damage decided to cite one of the drivers for battery and vandalism. Report number: 170266522

The security guard told the officers that he had watched as the suspect placed several grocery items in a backpack and then exit without paying. He confronted the suspect in the parking lot who agreed to return the items and wait for police. Ahern and Coss cited the suspect for theft and released him. Report number: 170268001
