Arrests:12:30pm Unit Blk. 28th Street Resisting ArrestA report of a man slumped over the wheel of his car prompted dispatch to send Ingleside Officers Mora and Reggi to investigate. When they arrived on scene they found the suspect in his car oblivious to the officer’s presence. The officers knocked on the window of the car waking up the suspect. He acted confused and obviously too impaired to drive. He was removed from the car and asked to perform several roadside sobriety tasks. He failed all of them. He told the officers that he had taken a prescription sedative a few hours earlier. He also provided a false name when asked for identification. The officers used a criminal database and discovered he was previously convicted of illegal possession of a firearm. He was also on probation and the officers surmised that he gave them a fake name to avoid violating his probation. He was driven to Ingleside Station and booked for providing false identification and for being under the influence of drugs in a public place.
